Vehicle Detail

In answer to a question....the front differential is an open differential with an electric locker. The rear differential is NOT a open differential....it is a torque sensing differential with an electric locker. They are both factory original. Here are additional photos. Copy the link below and paste it in your browser address window: https://picasaweb.google.com/charleshmccoy/Truck?authkey=Gv1sRgCMWJ0Y61z5_CbQ&feat=email# In answer to a question: The oil on the concrete is because I was not at home when I took the photos....I was parked in a relatives drive way, NOT MINE!....there are no leaks of any kind on my truck. In answer to a question: I was rear ended in Dec 2009 and the rear bumper skin of the truck was replaced. There was no other damage...nothing to the paint or body....only a dent in the rear bumper. The claim was filed against her insurance company: Nationwide Claim # 6132M843190. In answer to a question: Yes....I will sell you the camper and the trailer together....but $6000 for the camper is too low...it is a $20000 list camper in just as excellent condition as the truck....you got the camper model number almost right...it is a KZ-Frontier model 2101 with a Rear slide......3000 approx miles....it was kept under cover when not in use....i have all the paperwork that came with the camper......better than new with improved electric brake wiring.....a bicycle rack is on the back of the camper with a TANDEM bicycle that stays with the camper......i will sell it for 9000 with the truck....no less.....yes, I have many photos....send your email and I will get them to you. In answer to a question: Yes the vehicle gas mileage is accurate.....last week I drove from Roanoke Rapids NC to Morgantown Pa and back. I left Roanoke Rapids with full tank and arrived at my fathers home in Pa. after 340 miles with almost a half tank remaining. I had the cruise on 60 and drove 6.5 hours. I went through DC and hit a dozen stop lights on Independance Blvd ( it was Sunday so I drove through the city)...those were the only stops....when i pulled into my fathers drive the MPG indicator was 17.2....the next moring i put 19.9 gallons in the tank. You can call me at 252-452-6239 if you want to talk about the truck. If you have skype or Yahoo IM on your computer, I will be happy to take my laptop and video camera out to the vehicle an you can see whatever you want. 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab Short Bed with matching color Century Camper/Topper. I am the original owner. I have the title. This vehicle is still under the factory drive train warranty of 7 years / 70,000 miles. The vehicle has 41,332 miles as of 02/27/2011. I am currently driving the vehicle so the mileage will change.....it will definitely be less than 42,000 by the time the auction ends. Superior condition and maintenance. There are no problems with this vehicle. Regular oil changes with Mobile 1 synthetic at the recommended interval or shorter. The Transmission fluid was changed at 20,000 miles. The rear differential lube was changed at 20,000 and 39,000 miles. The front differential lube and the transfer lube was changed at 20,000 miles. This vehicle ALWAYS got a warm up of one minute prior to driving in warm weather and 3 or 4 minutes in cold weather. This vehicle was NEVER started and driven without this short warm up. I ALWAYS drove easy for the first few miles......the maintenance on this vehicle is truly one in thousands....I am very particular with my vehicles. The paint shines because I waxed it 4 or 5 times each year The electric locking differentials and electric disconnecting sway bar have been exercised regularly....I take the vehicle on a short dirt road every month to engage the locking differential and disconnect the sway bar. The differentials and the sway bar engage and disengage quickly. No mud bogging, no rock climbing, no abuse....there is no damage under the vehicle from bottoming out. I pulled a 4,400 lb camper one or twice a year to the mountains or the beach and used 4x4 primarily in the sand. Mostly, I drove it because I like it....it is very comfortable, quiet, and has a great ride due to the spring rate of the off road suspension......same capacity as a standard Ram 25000 but more suspension travel and a lighter/softer spring rate at the beginning with higher/harder spring rate at the suspension limits. Towing mileage is around 3,000 miles....something like 9 or 10 trips. Whenever I towed, I used the short maintenance intervals. This vehicle towed my camper so easily I had to make myself remember it was back there. Exterior additions are: BFG 315 70 17 AT tires with 80% tread, Aries step rails, a class III hitch in the FRONT (factory class IV in the rear) and Century Camper top and bed liner since new. Interior additions are a nice Panasonic stereo head unit with high voltage pre amp output. This unit reads cds and dvds for music...no video. It will read CDA, WMA and MP3. The head unit feeds a California AP1040 4 channel amp bridged to 2 channels at 225 watts RMS per channel. Its over 1000 watts peak...which is really meaningless but I include that because so many use the peak power specification. The main amp drives front speakers only. The rear speakers are powered by the head unit but they are really not needed so I fade them out. The Speakers are great Polk Audio 6.5 mid bass with tweeters mounted high on the door. The head unit also feeds Baja 700W mono sub that drives a 10 inch MTX sub woofer in a acoustic suspension / sealed enclosure under the rear seat. This system was installed by me with heavy power supply wire and heavy speaker wire, soldered connections and extra attention to proper grounding. Great neutral sound with solid bass. This vehicle gets better gas mileage than you expect. If you drive and accelerate hard you will get 14 mpg. I get much better because I drive easy....keeping the vehicle at 2000 - 2200 rpm when accelerating. Driving 65 mph I get 16 to 16.5 mpg. At 55 I get 17 to 17.5. I check my mileage using the odometer and gallons of fuel. I just drove from Rocky Mount NC to Roanoke Rapids NC, then to Halifax NC, then back to Rocky Mount NC at 60 mph on I95.... 55 mph on the country roads....I made 3 stops.....when I pulled into the gas station the gas mileage indicator was at 17.1 mpg. I filled up and calculated my my gas mileage at 16.95 mpg. The tires are about 8% oversize from the standard 285 70 17 size. This is almost nothing due to the 4.56 final gear ratio and did not effect fuel mileage very much....around town went down less than 1 mpg and highway went up less than 1mpg. The speedometer was adjusted by a Dodge dealer for the larger tires and my GPS and speedometer are within 1MPH of each other...over long distances the odometer and my GPS agree....so I know they got it right. The winch has been used very little with no heavy usage.....I pulled a neighbors car out of the ditch and drug a tree trunk out of my back yard. The discoloration on the cable is the cable lube I applied. Then I rewound the cable on the drum.....hence the two colors. Defects are very minor. There is a small scratch high on the right rear fender just under the camper. There is a small scrape on the camper top on the front left and one of the four pads on the step rails is chipped. They are hard to see in the photos. The spare is original and has never been on the ground. The original cable lock is on the spare. I have all keys including the spare cable lock, I have all manuals and all accessories for the winch. The car cover in the photos is included. The car was covered when I did not plan to drive it for more than a week. Kelly Blue Book came in at $28,855 for a private sale in Excellent Condition with camper, oversized offroad tires, and a premium sound system....be sure to include these itmes when you check the value.....this is with out a doubt an excellent condition vehicle! There is a class three hitch in front...see the photos. I have a nice custom made 8 surf rod aluminum rod rack and 150 qt cooler carrier with a marine cooler that attaches to the front hitch. The rod rack/cooler rack attaches to two points on the hitch and are welded on square tubing....not on the main hitch connection.....so it is very stable. This thing was $700. If you want it you can make me an offer but I will not include it for free with the vehicle. See the web address above for photos of the cooler / rod rack. The rod rack and cooler are NOT part of this auction. They are negotiable after the winning bid to the winning bidder. I will give the winning bidder first option on this. Repeat....the rod rack and cooler are not included in this auction. Please don't write and ask to include it....thanks. I have a buyer for it if we can not agree on a price after the auction. I reserve the right to sell the vehicle to the first person that makes payment. I reserve the right to cancel this auction at anytime because the vehicle sold outside of ebay. If you win the auction and make the deposit, I am locked in to you and the vehicle will come off of the other sites. I have Received questions on "options"....this has everything that a SLT / Powerwagon came with: power door locks, power windows, 6 way power drivers seat, adj lumbar support, power windows, tilt steering wheel, ambient temp gauge, electronic compass, shift on the fly 4x4, 4.56 final drive ratio, warn 12,000 lb winch, towing package that includes 160 amp alternator, class IV rear hitch, trans cooler, and 7 contact trailer electrical connection. It has tinted windows, off road suspension, Bilstein shocks, electronic disconnecting front anti-sway bar, american axle rear axle with torque sensing differential and electric deferential lock, American axle front axle with electric locking differential, power mirrors, tilt steering wheel, center console, forged 17x8 inch aluminum wheels, and 5 speed automatic trans with towing mode ...I probably left off something....so ask if you have a specific question.
