There is NO rust except for in one area...passenger floor. Car has been owned and garaged since 1994 by elderly gentleman who passed it onto his son. Unfortunately I do not have any service records :( I am in touch with the son though. Was running last summer, but engine jumped time and cannot afford to fix. Body is in awesome condition. Dent and rust free, except for one spot on driver door. Don't know why or how it got that way. Passenger floor is rusted from a leaking windshield seal. Otherwise car is SOLID. Engine turns over, EVERYTHING works except A/C does not blow cold. It was never used much anyway. Has ORIGINAL EURO BUMPERS AND BECKER STEREO!! Hardtop in great condition inside and out!!! Soft top is no good, but is there. Yokohama Avid Touring 205/70-14 on rears with 50% tread and Trazano H550 205/70-14 on fronts with 75% tread. No spare tire or rim. INTERIOR: Dash has two very small cracks on top. Console has some material missing towards the rear. Otherwise in great shape. Seats have much wear but are all there and function properly. Headrest on driver side is a little flimsy. Door panel on driver side has a couple of small cracks near bottom and map pocket has come loose near front. Otherwise both panels in good shape. Headliner is awesome! Sunvisors good. Rear cargo area great. All gauges work, all lights, etc.... Becker Europa radio works. CHASSIS: Awesome. Garage kept. Some bushings a little dry. Brakes worked well, steering worked well, all was good until engine issue. BODY: Awesome. Rust free!!! Paint needs a wax but shines like new when waxed. No dents, etc... One spot on driver door missing paint. have no clue how it got that way. All glass perfect. Some minor surface rust in spare tire well and of course on the after market luggage rack. BUMPERS ARE STRAIGHT. METAL IS PERFECT. Front bumper rubber has one crack on driver side at the corner and rear rubber has a ding in two places. (See photobucket) UNDERCARRIAGE: Great except for passenger side. Like I said, a leak in the windshield seal developed a leak on the passenger side. Driver floor is perfect and clean. TRANSMISSION: Was working fine when engine issue came up. ENGINE: Like I said, was running great and it jumped time according to my mechanic(Mercedes only). Low to no compression on drivers side, caused by bent valves when engine jumped time. WHAT WOULD I DO: Well, if I could afford it I would get the head fixed. Otherwise this has TONS of parts that are invaluable. Hard top and bumpers alone are well worth starting bid. This is a very clean, solid and garaged example and would hate to see it go to waste. Would not take really too much to get it going. Was quoted $300 for good used head, and a hundred or two to change over. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS AND COSTS.
