Hello,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Your looking at a wonderful: ^ 98% RESTORED 1964 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser with a 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser 2F ENGINE in it with great compression numbers: #1= 145 #2= 135 #3= 130 #4= 135 #5= 135 #6= 135. No Smog needed in California ^ The cruiser also has a perfectly working ORIGINAL PTO WINCH that came with it as an option in 1964. ^ THERE IS NO RUST on this Land Cruiser. Down to Bare metal with no Rust Repair needed. ^ ORIGINAL Drive Train Rebuilt Tranny ^ New Clutch ^ New Brakes ^ Rebuilt Suspension ^ Perfectly working Transfer case into 4 wheel Drive ^ $1000's in Receipts ^ Cruiser shown with BOTH set's Tires on it. Winning bidder will get BOTH set's which include: 5 BFG 33 X 9.50 X 15 Mudders (65%) on ORIGINAL STOCK STEEL WHEELS WITH NEW CAPS and 4 BFG 31 X 10.50 X 15 Rugged Trails A/T (90%) on AFTER MARKET CHROME WHEELS. ^ This Land Cruiser was an Original Soft Top. Both Original Soft Top Doors with partial set of Bow's, additional other aftermarket Soft Top Doors and Two Hard Half Doors painted the color of the cruiser also go to the winning bidder as well as 3 large fog lights that mount to the front bumper ( not shown ) and an extended jack ( shown mounted to front ) ^ Engine has just received major tune up which included Valve Adjustment and Compression Check. ^ Tranny and Transfer Case just received complete service. ^ This Land Cruiser is beautiful. The COLOR is very close to Toyota Stock Factory Color used in some of the European, Asian and Middle Eastern area's for military and police vehicles back in the early to mid 60's. ^ All Electrical is functioning properly with no issues. ^ PLEASE EMAIL FOR A LIST OF COSMETIC and other minor DETAILS THAT NEED TO BE FINISHED UP. Please keep in mind that anyone could easily drive this cruiser as a daily in "As Is" 98% restored condition and deal with the details later if they wish to. It was aquired in the Sherman Oaks, Beverly Hills area of California and I am at least the 3rd owner since 1964. I am not sure when the 1975 2F L.C. ENGINE was put in but is in great condition. On Mar-02-11 at 23:58:43 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE MARCH 3rd: I have decided to continue with a bit more of the restore on the cruiser. We will be purchasing and installing a Front Door Weather Stripping Kit from Specter this week which includes Felt, Rubber Weatherstripping, Window Channels ( for both doors ), adjust both Door Strikers, Adjust all Door Hinges or replace if need be, adjust both Front Door Regulators or Replace if need be, Add a new Headliner from Specter Off Road, Purchase Touch Up Paint and apply in a few area's, Paint the interior back Cargo Area with Black Protective and perhaps do a coating of Black Protective on the Under Carriage. Will also be re-painting all of the interior Door and Window Regulators a deeper more Original GREY over the next 2 or 3 days. As mentioned, the cruiser is not 100% restored yet and is an ONGOING ON-FRAME restore that myself and the PO both have had a hand in. I am trying to not only finish up area's that I can afford to finish up but also will re-do things that the PO did to give the cruiser a more Original look. Re-painted both Door trims interior where doors close due to small scrapes. Re-painted front Bumper stock grey. Re-painted all interior silver componants stock gray including new Window Regulators. Painted Vent Windows. Tomorrow the cruiser will have all new Window Regulators installed, new Weather Stripping in both front doors, New Open / Close Regulators on both front doors, New Felt and Window Channels on Both front Doors and New Headliner installed.
