Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 with Galen Govier documentation and original build sheet. It is a rust-free Texas car with the original numbers matching 340 wedge engine and 727 Torqueflite transmission. The car was professionally restored by Advanced Restoration of Huffman, TX, a noted MOPAR rebuilder and the engine was balanced and blueprinted by Hensley Racing in Knoxville, TN (documentation and receipts are available). The engine retains the stock 4-barrel Carter Thermoquad carbureter, intake manifold and high output exhaust manifolds for an original look, but has been bored .030 over with 10:1 TRW L2316F pistons and a Competition Cams XE268 camshaft which offers great sound and performance. The front brake drums were replaced with disc brakes to ensure firm, straight stops. The rear axle is a SureGrip 8.75" with 3.55:1 gearing. During the restoration the car was painted with the original GB2 Glacial Blue Metallic and sports a white vinyl roof. The interior is furnished in the original B7 Dark Blue. If you're looking for a car show-ready MOPAR A-body, this one should not disappoint (it has been featured in Mopar Magazine, April 2006). The car is sold as is, where is. Feel free to email any questions / requests for additional photos or call Ken at 713-447-5484. The Duster is available for inspection anytime before the end of the auction.
