You are bidding on a nice looking 2002 Dodge Intrepid with a bad 2.7 liter engine. In April, it started losing antifreeze (relatively slowly) and overheating when it got low. The mechanic said it was an engine issue--cracked block or seal. Either way, the engine would need to be pulled. Since it was a 2.7 liter engine, he did not recommend putting the money into it. The car was driven short distances in town while keeping a close watch on the coolant. In December, it overheated and it now has water in the oil. The mechanic has said this is a head gasket. The bottom line is that it needs major engine work or a new engine. This car would look great sitting in your driveway, but it is not driveable. Ever want a yard car? Do you have a teenager that wants that first car, but you are worried about them driving? Buy them this and they can sit in it for hours. As long as they don't leave the driveway, you will know where they are. They can hop in and pretend to go anywhere! It's a lot cheaper than having one that they can drive. Save on gas, save on insurance, save on repairs! You can also tow it anywhere you want to go. Or if you are a mechanic, you can replace the engine and have a nice car that you can even drive! This car is in excellent condition other than the engine. It has 117,037 miles and is a four door. It does not have any dents and only one area of minor rust on the passenger rear wheel well. The interior is nice with normal wear. There are no rips or cuts. It is midnight blue with a grey interior. Tires are good, but not great. It has air conditioning. As you can see, the pictures were taken in January (right before the Packers won the NFC Championship). It must be picked up by the buyer in East Moline, IL. This is my daughter and son-in-law's car. They have had it for about 4 years and it was a good car until the engine issues. When running, it gets good gas mileage--about 28 mpg highway. The only issue is that one of the ash trays in the back seat is missing its cover. There is a picture now of : the missing ash tray cover, odometer, there is one small area of rust on the rear passenger wheel well, radio/cd/cassette player (it is a single cd player), back seat, and front seats. I also wanted to add that when I entered the VIN#, the description/options stated that there is a sunroof, however, this car doesn't have a sunroof.
