Here's a really nice, rust free, unmolested, all original, 1946 Chevy project truck. It was someones frame off restoration until they lost interest. It has the original 216 engine, and original 4 speed transmission. It has had a whole lot of restoration work done to it alredy. The cab, bed, and all body panels were removed from the frame, which was then cleaned up really nice and repainted with what looks like Por13. This procedure was also done on the the inner fenders, on the whole underside and floor of the cab, running boards, front valance panels, and inside all exterior fenders. Cab, bed and all body panels and running boards were then re installed with the correct mounting kits, and the truck was painted. Paint job is far from show, but great for a rat type driver, and will last a long time to preserve the entire exterior of the truck until someone decides to re do it really nice. The whole underside of this truck looks like new. Many of the rubber bushings have been replaced on the suspension, and most of the nuts and bolts under it are new. The engine runs excellent. It starts immediately, and runs very strong and smooth, when its on, the truck barely vibrates at all, and it does not smoke. Since it has a non syncromesh transmission, one must "double clutch" when going into second and third to get it to go in smoothly.There are no leaks in the cooling system or radiator. Radiator looks restored. Even the water lines from the engine to the heater are connected, and core does not leak. The brakes work excellent, like new, with no leaks. They have all been redone, and the parking brake works like new, a couple clicks and you could park it on a steep hill. There are some things that need finishing on this truck, It needs bed wood, a better paint job some day would be nice, there are some cracks in the glass, the front lights need to be hooked up but all the wiring is there, same for tail lights, and some parts in the cab need to be restored or replaced. Doors fit cab really nice, door checks work, and window cranks work and the glass cranks up and down nicely. It has come along way and all the grunt work has been done. Just needs a little tlc and know how, to make it really nice. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. Whoever buys this truck will have saved themselves a whole lot of work. It is registered, street legal, with new California plates, (not seen in pictures) and the tags are good through July of 2011, and I have a clean and clear title for this truck.
