It will save a step to just call Steve. Thanks. This is his description of the truck: 1946 Ford 1 1/2 ton flatbed truck. This truck's body is in good condition, but the interior is rough. It has not been started for 2 years, because each time I ran it, I had to put brake fluid in the reservoir. I also had to put gas in the tank every time I used it (there is a leak somewhere, but I think the gas tank is OK because I had it renovated when I bought the truck). There is a short in the electrical system that required me to jump-start it every time I wanted to drive it. When I tried to jump start it earlier this winter, all I got was a clicking noise. The original engine was replaced with a Chrysler 440 and automatic transmission. It has been a good strong engine. This is a nice old truck and it deserves a good home. I now have another vintage truck that I will use for my truck farm and farmer's market needs, so I need to sell the '46 Ford. Please call Steve with questions at (217) 837-2772 or my cell phone (217)246-8228 These are my observations that I noted while taking pictures today - The driver's side door and cab corner have some rust on them (I tried to get a picture of it). The tires look like they all hold air (they have sunk down in the dirt) and they are fair/poor condition. The truck has a dump bed on it with a hydraulic pump but the PTO was removed with the original transmisssion so the bed does not currently dump. Steve is not trying to make a killing on this truck. The reserve is low. He would like to see it go to someone that can use it or get some fun out of it. Call him if you have any questions or OFFERS!
