Vehicle Detail
1957 Ford F-100. I bought this truck at a junk yard for $500 and spent the last couple years restoring it to it's current condition. I would classify it as a really nice daily driver. Although it is a full frame off restoration and every nut and bolt has been replaced, the truck is not perfect. I've driven it daily for a couple years now with no problems. Exterior - Has some minor body modifications including emblems and tailgate chains taken off and 1950 Pontiac taillights mounted into factory location. It has an original FOMOCO windshield but has new rear glass and one piece side glass. All new rubber and felts on all of it. Went through and cut out all the rust. Floors are solid. Painted a custom mixed mint-ish green. Interior - All new paint interior with a two-tone green and black. Flaming River tilt column with color matched 58 Biscayne steering wheel. EZ wiring harness throughout the truck. Fuses mounted up under the dash. I rebuilt the original gauges and custom painted the bezel with some mild flake on it. Has new carpet and juke. I had the seat rebuilt and done with a black vinyl tuck and roll. I lowered the seat brackets so you sit a little deeper in the truck. It has a Gennie (Swan style) shifter for the C4 trans. I put a heater and blower motor out of a 56 F100 because they look so much better. The truck doesn't have the defrost vents under the dash though because they are very hard to find. Heater works great. Truck has the factory radio, but it doesn't work, so it doesn't have any kind of stereo system. I didn't want to cut a hole in the dash, so It'll be up to you to put a stereo in it. It has some nice pinstriping on the dash done by Gato. Drive-train - The truck has a 351 Windsor out of a 1969 Mercury Cougar and a 21 spline C4. The engine was pulled with 65,000 miles. I pulled it down to to the block and left only the crank and pistons in it. Everything looked great so I put a new timing set, oil pump, and all new gaskets on it. New main, oil pan, head, and all the top end and accessory gaskets of course. Edelbrock performer intake and 650 carb with electric choke. New water pump, GM one wire alternator, aluminum radiator, and custom pinstriped batwing air cleaner. I was told the trans was rebuilt before I bought it. It looks like it was when you pull the pan. New torque converter. It has a 9 inch out of a 71 Torino with the brakes rebuilt and a new drive shaft built for the truck. Chassis - The truck has four corner air suspension done right! It has a Mustang II IFS with Slam Specialties airbags. It has power rack and pinion steering and stainless steel upper and lower tubular a-arms. The rear has a No Limit engineering parallel four link with custom pan-hard bar brackets and step notch. It has the AccuAir e-Level system, which will keep the truck at an aligned ride height no matter how much weight you put in the truck. This system is the top of the line in air suspension and makes it easy for anyone to drive the truck, even if you know nothing about air suspension. It has all steel wheels with bullet caps and lugs, and radial white walls that have the look of bias ply tires. This truck truly has too much to list. Feel free to ask me questions. I'm selling the truck only because I've driven it for a while and feel the need to build something else. Don't be afraid to give me offers. The worst I can say is no. If you're looking for a cool old truck to drive every day, this is the one. Super clean, and road proven. On Mar-01-11 at 16:55:22 PST, seller added the following information: I did forget to say in the descroption that the truck doesn't have any windshield wipers and the windshield wiper motor is not wired to the switch yet. All the wiring is there to hook them up though. It also doesn't have a headliner. And I haven't had time to look into it, but lately the brake pedal has been sticking, and won't return far enough to turn the brake lights off every time. I also forgot to mention that the entire inside of the cab has been covered in Dynamat to make it as quite as possible inside. Please ask me as many questions as possible before you bid. I want whoever gets my truck to be happy when they see it!
