1980 Mercedes Benz 300D diesel sedan non-turbo · Selling on of my fun toys. A chance to own an all original, classic, reliable, Mercedes in fantastic shape and gets 30+ mpg too! This strong diesel car only has 127,500 true, original miles; it is extremely difficult to find these cars with such low mileage and unmolested. · This car is in amazing condition! It has been loved and cared for by it’s first owner and then I. Only 2 Owner car… · It's a true time warp with such amenities as POWER WINDOWS, ELECTRIC SUNROOF, ORIGINAL BECKER STEREO with cassette, and more. EXTERIOR The first thing to mention and the best part is the paint. The paint has a wonderful, glimmering shine and is in fabulous condition. The car has been garaged most of its life and it shows. The car maintains a clean New Mexico Title. The car has tinted windows all-around to reduce sunlight exposure and thus preserving the interior and lowering inside temperature during summer The body is clear of dents but some minor dings.The original paint looks great. All the original German moldings are also in excellent, straight condition. The chrome bumpers both front and back are in unmarked perfect shape. The chrome is beautiful. In addition, the alloy rims are a great condition and have never been repainted (could use to be polished). I have changed to the bosche European head lamps( just cause I like the look better). INTERIOR The overall condition of the Palomino interior is excellent. The driver's seat, (which is another place to check for a high mile car), is in super condition. The springs are firm as well as the padding. I currently have “REAL sheepskin covers on the front seats and will sell them with the car for an additional $200.00, otherwise they are not going with the car. All four door panels are clean, and torn or scared. All the interior chrome is in LIKE NEW condition. All the original, often-missing, small inspection plugs are still attached too. The passenger seat and the back seat are in fine condition. The door lock/trunk lock vacuum system works well. All the carpets are original and NOT ripped, torn, faded or stained. The floors have been protected over the years. The stock palomino base ‘carpet’ looks brand new all around with no wear marks. In addition, this car will include 4 BRAND NEW color matching floor-mats. All of the wood is in excellent condition and not split or faded. The center console is also in good shape with all the switches and knobs functioning. In addition, all of the windows work in normal fashion. Included is a working, original Mercedes Benz BECKER radio with working speakers. Fresh air vents, heater and air conditioning all work very well. ALL THE GAUGES WORK. Speedometer needle doesn't bounce, and the odometer works properly. The dash has had a soft cover installed but it still retains a presentable dash underneath. The rear seat belts are in good condition. The center arm rest is wonderful with no cracks at all. All the doors close tight and do NOT LEAK AT ALL. MECHANICAL The car runs very well, typical of a 100,000 mile diesel. Transmission is tight and so are the brakes. The steering is tight on this car too. The car was just checked by a certified Mercedes Benz mechanic and everything is in great condition.List of receint repairs:-New Brakes including booster-front and rear suspension componits, ball joints steering damper-shocks on all 4 corners replaced.-rear window regulators replacedfuel lines replaced with newvalve guides adjusted head gasket replacedMajor transmission serviceInstrument cluster refreshed with new lighting and cleaned.Tires THE BAD: · The heater works great but the A/C doesn’t blow · There are very minor rock chips on the front end paint · As stated before there are some minor door dings on both sides · Dash board has sun related cracking( covered by dash cover) If you have any additional questions please contact me at (505) 414-8137 Brian ***I have many additional parts, which I’ll sell with the car such as the original headlamps, and other misc parts. There is no rust that I have been able to find . sold new in Orange County California and then New Mexico. 2. Could this car be driven across country? ... Yes very much so, I drive the car every day.Cruises very nice at 65-70 3.Do any additional parts go with the car?....Yes I have some parts such as the OEM front head lamps and other misc minor parts.
