The owner we are assisting purchased this R1100RT from a private owner in California 11/2007 with only 10,000 miles and made a very memorable coast to coast trip from California when he rode the bike back home to Florida. This memory trip by the present was measured at 3,800 total miles. This BMW R1100RT received its 12,000 mile maintenance service in Riverside, CA at 11,531 miles and the next service is not due until 24,000 miles. The cost of this service was $769.21. This included changing the brake fluid in the entire system. Also a new left cam chain tensioner was upgraded and installed, which means this R1100RT does not have the clicking noise you find in other R1100RTs. The rear drive pinion seal was replaced, and the low beam headlight switch was replaced, and a new extra key was made and encoded. The total service cost was $1,656.98 (receipts included with purchase). Our owner was asked what he would classify as three selling points for this BMW R1100RT, he replied its low miles for the 1999 year manufactured, the expandable versatile tank bag purchased at $200.00 with the bikes engine guards and how well this bike has been taken care of along with being garaged.
