You are bidding on a 1974 Rickman MX 125. The motor is a German made Zundapp 125cc two cycle motor. This motorcycle was imported from England and designed for motocross use. We purchased this motorcycle 10 years ago exactly as it sits now. It is a running, driving machine and we used it on occasional outings through trails on weekend rides. Front and rear brakes are in working order. Motor starts and runs very well, idles smooth, and the clutch grabs perfectly. Tires seem to be original. The grips are not original, they are "909's." As evidenced by the photographs, this is an riders motorcycle. There are dings, scratches, and some spider cracks in the paint. We purchased and installed the shifting adjustment side cover a few days ago to complete the case. This motorcycle has been in storage for approximately 8 years. After a minor cleaning and some fresh CAM2 fuel and Castor oil, it started right up and drove perfectly. With continued care, this motorcycle could run and be enjoyed forever. It is only recently that we found out the significance of this motorcycle and its rich racing heritage, as well as how sought after they are. The date of manufacture is 1 / 1974 VIN number or "NO" as it is noted on the frame plaque is "1109 4Z" GVWR is 650 GAWR Front is "315 lbs" GAWR Rear is "335 lbs" I am not a vintage motorcycle expert thus I may have left out pertinent details about this motorcycle.
