Here's a really nice, very straight, super solid, well preserved, all original 1946 Chevy short bed pickup that was garaged for the last 38 years. It only had 2 owners until I purchased it. I have the pink slip on it from 1973, signed and released for new owner to register. The truck is a short bed, 3 speed. It runs remarkably good for being such an old truck.. Get in, warm it up and go. One thing I really like about this truck is it doesn't drip hardly a drop of oil. I was told it had 18k miles on the 216 motor since being rebuilt a long time ago. It starts every time, and does not smoke. There are no shorts or electrical problems, and it putts around town reliably, holdin steady at 180 degrees. This truck appears to have never been in an accident, and has never been molested or chopped. The previous owner added an aftermarket wiper motor though. EVERYTHING works on it....EXCEPT.....the parking brake, and the speedometer needle, which fell off, so I disconnected the cable. All parking brake cables are intact, and the 4 small dash guages work (gas, temp, battery, and oil pressure). This truck even has a working original heater with 2 switches under the dash, which send warm air to the window through 2 vents, or to the feet, whichever you prefer. There is an additional, all original toggle switch under the dash, which can be flipped left or right to illuminate either the dash, or the key hole area. Even the doors lock with an original key, and all windows crank up down and/or out. This truck would be an AWESOME truck to completely restore, as everything is all there. It has no missing parts. Dash, rear interior panel, door panels, door trims, and header panel have never been repainted. It even has a matching white wall tire/rim mounted under the bed with all the correct brackets. There are just a few smaller dings in the entire body, which otherwise is factory straight. Has unusually straight bed panels. There is no bondo or dents under the small primered areas you see on the truck, I have checked underneath with my hand. Based on what I've seen out there, a truck like this is hard to come by. The two previous owners did a spectacular job of preserving and protecting this truck. The white walls have about 1000 miles on them at most, and the rims even have white pinstriping on them. Seat is like new. Steering wheel is in excellent condition. I recently changed the oil, points, condenser, coil, and battery, and fixed a small leak in the air line from the distributor to carb. The truck has a thin metal plate tack welded in a few spots, covering the bed wood, but all the old wood planks are there, including metal bed strips.
