1971 Datsun 240Z - Original Arizona car - Original 6 Cylinder engine with the 4 speed manual transmission. Build date of 01/71. E31 Head. Original dual SU carburetors. I love this car. I have had it for 23 years now and I hate to get rid of it but I need a vehicle that will haul more people and I don't have any other way to pay for it. The best thing about this car in particular is it has a rust free body. No rust in all the typical spots except a little in one spot on the right side floor board that you can see in the pictures. It doesn't go all the way through and is fine the way it is but could be fixed with very minimal effort. No rust in the battery tray,wheel wells, etc. No undercoating sprayed all over to hide spots. This car is really clean. Paint is 2 years old and is in really good condition as you can see from the pictures. There is one spot on the RR corner of the roof by the glass that has a defect in the paint. There was a crack in the original paint and it came through into the new paint shortly after painting. Hasn't gotten any worse in 2 years so I know it won't change. There is a picture of this posted.This car is so much fun to drive and it runs great. It will be a fun car to own and is not just a big project. It gets about 20 mpg around town. The steering is tight. Clutch was replaced about 5,000 miles ago along with the clutch master and slave cylinder so there is no clutch issues. Just did a brake job and the right side outer tie rod end. Interior is in good shape but could use a new carpet kit, door seals and the dash is cracked like they all did. I recenty got ahold of a crack-free dash that is included in the sale along with some other spare parts including an extra alternator and radiator. All the guages work except the clock on the dashboard. The car is pretty much all original except the seats and the radio. I replaced the seats with seats from a Mazda Miata because they were much more comfortable and they fit great. The stereo turns on but is not working. I'm not sure what is wrong with it. Another thing I can offer is if there is something specifically that you want checked out by a 3rd party, there is a shop in my town where I can take it and you can call them directly while they have the car and have them check something for you.
