Restoration was completed by Spetacular Detail of Plainfield, IL. I have owned this vehicle since the restoration and have put very little miles on it. A complete professional engine rebuild has been performed – bored 40 over (new cam, pistons, ring set, oil pump, main bearing set, rod bearing, con rod bolt kit, rear main seal, dipstick tube, hydraulic lifters. A complete professional transmission rebuild w/Heavy Duty Drum Kit and flywheel. Pair of new 2.5” Ram Air Factory Headers (ceramic coated including hardware) from Ram Air Restorations. The originals were in excellent shape. Ultimate Exhaust Kit (2.5” head pipes, flanges, x-crossover kit, install hardware, gaskets from RAM AIR Restorations. The subframe was completely disassembled and every part was media blasted along w/ undercarriage of the car and rear suspension. Every metal part was repainted to original OEM specifications. The undercarriage of the car was painted with 2 coats of Red Oxide from the Firewall back to rear bumper. A complete front suspension rebuild including outer and inner tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, upper and lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushing end link kit, idler arm, new front coil springs and front end alignment. Complete rear suspension rebuild including new rear lead springs, rebuilt rear end (new axes/bearings/seals and GM gear to 3.55), New Rear Leaf Springs Installation Kit, New front and rear gas shocks, all new brake and fuel lines from under the hood to brakes and gas tank, New CA Emissions gas tank, straps and new gas cap, new wheel studs, new front brake calipers, new brake hoses, turned rotors, new brake pads, rear brake drums media blasted and painted, complete rear brake rebuild including brake lines. The interior has been completely gone through to new condition: NEW: headliner, seat covers for front and rear, carpeting, sound deadener installation padding, custom carpeted Trans AM Floor Mats, package tray with jute padding, console, console glove box, console padded armrest lid, map pocket under the stereo, console shift plate, automatic shifter knob, chrome trim, rubber pedal kit, dash pad, sale panels, rear side panels, instrument cluster lenses, speakers, chrome window cranks, door lock knobs, sun visors, chrome backed rear view mirror, OEM door scuff plates, transmission kick down switch, all bulbs All interior panels were redeye black including glove box and ash tray. Door panels were professionally rebuilt back to Factory Specs. Gauges were professionally rebuild, refaced and recalibrated – even the clock works. Te interior was stripped and media blasted – then a coat of POR 15 was applied to the floor and inside each rust free door. Pictures available to show condition before POR was applied. This car was sanded down to bar metal (there was no rust anywhere on the car). 3 coats of Premier, 2 coats of base (has the correct color formula documented), 2 coats of clear, complete 1970 Trans Am Decals, NOS fenders replaced originals, rechromed rear bumper. NEW: Pontiac Letters & tail panel, window chrome front and rear, windshield, driver and passenger side door glass, door hinges, door handles, door jam switches, exterior locks (doors and trunk), headlight bezels, rear taillight lenses, chrome bezels and gaskets, spats, valiance, front spoiler, park lamp fillers, park light lenses, park light bezels w/gaskets, trunk dress up kit, weather stripping, rubber bushings (under the hood, interior & trunk) door stickers. Trunk was media blasted, primed and repainted with OEM trunk spatter paint. 4 new BFGoodrich Radial TA’s, New Lug Nuts w/black centers and chrome rings (like originals). The wheels are the original Kelsey Hayes Wheels Rally specific only to the 1970 TA – which were media blasted, primed twice and repainted with OEM correct Silver and Charcoal paints (2 coats).
