Up for sale is a 1989 Chevrolet Silverado. The odometer shows 260K mile but the engine and transmission was replaced last summer. The engine is a 350V8 and has approximately 88K miles on it and the automatic transmission has approximately 91K miles on it. They work very well and have no problems. I paid $1450 to have the engine and transmission installed. The seat is in excellent condition. The bad is that the rear end needs replaced and the best estimate that I have received from my mechanic to replace it with a used one at $475. I am not a mechanic so I can’t do the work myself and I don't have the money, but I have found used rear ends for $295 at local junk yards. The body is in ok condition it does have some rust on the cab corners, rear wheel wells and other small spots. The truck is equipped with V8, Auto, PS, PW, PL, AC, CRUISE and this is a WORK TRUCK. In its day it was a loaded truck with all the bells and whistles, but like me it is older and some of its options have quit working (AC and CRUISE). This truck will need to be hauled away on a trailer or repaired and driven away at buyer’s expense. Truck is being sold as is where is with no warranty either written or implied.
