Vehicle Detail

Motor runs very, very well. Extremely fast. 5.7 LT1 V8 motor with 275 horsepower, 325 ft/lbs of torque. It's equipped with a CD player, power windows, locks, mirrors, keyless entry, power driver seat, power trunk release from the keyless entry. Flowmaster muffler. I do have the original owners manual for the car. The good: 1) Air conditioning works great 2) No leaks 3) Only 65,900 original miles 4) All of the gauges work as they should (fuel, temp, tach, speedometer, etc) 5) power convertible top works great and goes up and down with no problems. It is in great shape with no holes, tears or rips 6) 0 issues with the motor, starts up perfectly every time first try, no noises, exhaust burns clean as it should, motor runs like new with tons of power 7) No dents, cracks, major dings 8) The engine bay and undercarraige are very clean as you would expect for a car with only 65k miles. Nothing is rotted. You can turn all of the nuts in the engine compartment, they are not all rotten and rusted out. 9) New fuel pump, new power window motors on both windows, new brake pads on all 4 wheels 10) Oil has been changed every 2000 for the past 5-6 oil changes (the 12000 miles or so that I have owned the car) 11) Very reliable car, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere The not so good: 1) The driver seat has a small tear in the cover (as shown in the pictures). There aren't any holes or tears in any of the other seats 2) The "ABS INOP" light comes on occassionally because the car could use a new ABS control module. This module goes for only $10-$50 on car-part.com and it's located on the top of the engine compartment (not buried under the motor or anything like that) near the air filter. It's easy to get at to replace. I work 6 days a week so I don't have the time or desire to get at it. You don't really need it. The car still brakes fine without it and I just had new brake pads installed on all 4 wheels. 3) Needs a new plastic button that controls the power locks on the driver side door inner. The power lock on the passenger side door inner works fine. You can also just use the keyless entry keypad to unlock the car. I was told that this little plastic button can be purchased at the chevy dealer for $5-$10 4) The car has 180 degree thermastat. I personally don't like it because with this, it takes longer for the heat to heat up all the way. If I was keeping the car, I would install a 200 degree thermastat which costs $15. It's up to the buyer if they want to do that or not I guess. 5) The cables underneath the seat track on the passenger seat are broken, therefore the seat is locked in the position that it is in. Currently the seat bottom is not all the way back. It is a couple inches from being all the way back which means less leg room for a passenger that is 6' or taller. You can still tilt the seatback forward and backward. You just cant slide the seat bottom in any direction. Once again, if I were keeping the car, entire seat sets can be found on craigslist all day long for $100-$200 for these cars. I'd just throw a leather seat set in. 6) The quarter panels above the rear wheels on the driver and passenger sides of the car have been repainted in order to get rid of some rust beginning to bubble up in those areas and the paint doesn't match as seen in the pictures. I'm extremely thorough. Most people listing cars probably wouldn't bother to mention just about all of the relatively small, inexpensive imperfections that I have pointed out about the car, but I want a smooth transaction and a happy and informed buyer and I don't want bad karma for the next million years so I hope all of my rambling helps people make the decision about whether to bid. I personally like the car a lot. It runs excellent. The motor is in really, really great shape. I am moving to Phoenix in less than 2 months and I don't feel like paying over $1000 per car to ship my cars from Michigan to Arizona, so, sadly I have to sell this car. Bid with confidence. Feel free to ask any questions that you have about the car. Kelly Blue Book private party value is $6500-$7500. The reserve is low and lower than $6500. The bidding should hit my reserve easily so please bid often. I am a motivated seller because, as I mentioned, I am moving and can't afford to take the car with me. I am an honest ebayer, I have sold my personal cars on ebay before smoothly, please review my feedback On Jan-28-11 at 13:08:14 PST, seller added the following information: You can disregard what I wrote about the ABS INOP light and the power lock switch. Those repairs have since been made. The ABS INOP light hasn't come back on since I replaced all of the brake pads and I ordered the power lock switch for $12 at the dealer and it will be here on Tuesday.
