Vehicle Detail

Well, my buyer on my previous auction for this dear car just disappeared - no reason given. I have decided to re-list it. PLEASE, PLEASE - serious bidders only. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them, and if you're in the area and we can arrange a mutually agreeable time, I'm happy to show the car. This car is hard for me to give up! I need the storage space. I purchased this car in 2006 because it was a reminder of my childhood family car. It came from the estate of the car's original owner who kept it in a garage and had it repainted to its original factory color (which you can see in the engine compartment). I put $1,852 into the car when I purchased it. This included: - New tires - Rear drum break overhaul - Replaced rear wheel cylinders - Replaced differential cover gasket - Replaced pinion seal - Replaced distributor cap and rotor - Replaced ignition points and condenser - Replaced fuel and PCV hoses - Replaced valve cover gasket - Removed and reinstalled radiator - passed all tests - Oil, filter change and lubrication - Complete vehicle check For its age, the car is in very good condition. I am always amazed that, even after not driving it for a number of months, it starts right up and off I go. It is a fun car to drive! There are loose parts here and there (driver door locks, left side rear view, etc.) and misc. scrapes and trim irregularities. There are no large dents. The car really looks great, as you can see by the pictures. Inside, the interior has been re-done with a matching terry upholstery. Seat belts have been added. The interior is not pristine, but not bad for a 48 year old car. I had hoped to have the interior re-done, but never got to it. The radio does not work, and I don't know if the heater works. There is no air conditioning. According to my mechanic, who specializes in mopar, the 79,757 miles are all that are on the car. When the car had all its work done, it had 79,475 miles. So, you can see that I drove it very little. I have always kept it in a garage here in Southern California. I bought a number of miscellaneous parts for the car with a future restoration in-mind - nothing fancy. These come with the car. Low reserve!! The car is being sold as-is and there is no warranty on the vehicle. Local pick-up or buyer can arrange for shipping after the auction ends. $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction ending. I bought a number of miscellaneous parts for the car with a future restoration in-mind - nothing fancy. These come with the car. UPDATE: At the prompting of a potential bidder, I have determined the condition of the heater. So, I just went out and fired her up and tested it out. I'm happy to report that the heater works well. It got nice and warm and it wasn't even very loud. The only issue I noticed was that the air flow was not very strong out of the left side vent on the dashboard. There were also some leaves in the ducts that blew out. Since it was dark, I was also able to turn on the dashboard lights again, and they look really cool (see the picture). The original temperature gauge does not work, but there is a new one installed that hangs below the dashboard that works well. I would imagine that fixing the original would not be that big of a deal. Also, the windshield wipers work! Low reserve!! The car is being sold as-is and there is no warranty on the vehicle.
