Vehicle Detail

1979 Chevrolet Luv Mikado Mini Truck with under 5400 original - yes, original - miles. Any mini truck enthusiast would really enjoy this special one-of-a-kind time capsule straight out of the late 70s.I have not detailed the truck for the auction. The flash from the camera produced some poor pictures. If you would like a specific picture, please let me know. Death in family forces saleThis truck was featured in the July 1981 issue of Mini-Truck Magazine (as seen in the pictures). The mileage is original - 5388!!!The truck was started/etc. to keep fluids and seals in order. Garage kept since new. Runs like a new truck. My dad purchased the truck from the original owner shortly before he passed away.I have their information if you have any questions I am unable to answer. The truck still has the original tires as seen in the magazine.Cragar SS/T wheels and Pos-A-Traction tires. Standard 14X7 inch wheels were used with D60-14 tires up front, while G60-14 tires and 14X7 reverse wheels were added at the rear. A glass spoiler and windshield visor were added. This is a step side pickup with a tonneau cover over the bed (carpet kit inside the bed). Chromed tubular rear bumper.Chrome traction bars, rear end cap, and anti-sway bar add a unique touch. The interior is mostly stock with exception of the seat and the Formula France steering wheel. Cerullo manufactured the seat which includes a fold down center console. Most of the aftermarket components were purchased out of Southern California - Toy Truck Company.Nothing is overdone, yet the pickup is decidedly "custom". The engine compartment is stock and is incredible. Stock 4-cylinder, 1.8 liter in-line engine. The frame has factory markings as seen in the pictures. The interior is flawless. The paint is completely original and appears near flawless. Note: There is a picture of a factory decal in the lower right hand corner of the windshield and those are leaves resting below the windshield wiper. It was windy and leaves managed to get in the garage. Just wanted to point that out. Overall, this is truly a very special find. You are welcome to have a mechanic inspect the truck at your convenience. I only ask that you do so prior to bidding. The vehicle is sold as-is/where is. No warranty either express or implied. All shipping is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder. I will assist in loading the truck if necessary. I reserve the right to end the auction early.A non-refundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction closure. Questions are highly encouraged. Thanks and good luck. On Jan-23-11 at 12:49:09 PST, seller added the following information: Just for clarification - this truck hasn't been restored. It was primarily used for car shows in the 80s and the mileage is actual at 5388. It has been in storage for the better part of the last 20 years. Thanks again for any questions/messages.
