Take a look. I know, you want me to tell you this is a '56, but it is not. This car had one owner (and a half...they guy that bought it from her just flipped it) when we picked it up. The woman drove back and forth from New York to Vegas every year and had homes in both places. Wheel wells were naturally rusted from the drives. I used '57 Chevy wells in the front and '56 Chevy wells in the rear, professionally welded at LV Roadtsters Shop here in Southern Nevada. No warping at all. Painted it the original black and white with a nice matching interior. Headliner was too nice to change out. Cut the front bumper, filled it and had it rechromed to accept the early (but new) corvette grill. Extended after market headlight rings in chrome, and '56 Olds taillights. The motor is original with 49,000 honest miles. Only change is I replaced the 4 barrel with a tri-power set up using Rochester carbs. Original trans and rear end. Has original radio (not hooked up) and one of those little "secret" AM/FM CD receivers just under the dash with the 10 CD player in the trunk. Running the original flippers with an extra pair of original "ring" style hup caps in the trunk. No dings except for a tiny dimple in the hood where I closed the hood on a magnet handle (don't ask). Too small to bother with repair as this is a driver. Has made the run to LA Roadster Show and Bakersfield Hot rod Reunion several times. Running on center carb only right now for economy. For power set the linkage to run progressive. This is NOT a show car is it a DRIVER and one heck of a cruiser.
