Perfect candidate for a Restoration Vehicle or can be used for an everyday driver. 1988 Chevy Camaro RS for sale. 2.8 MPFI V-6 Engine w/ TH-700R4 Automatic transmission. Odometer shows 4,675 miles but has 304,675 actual miles. I bought the car used in 2002 and drove it every day until last June 2010 when I finally bought a new car. I have driven it 1-2 times per month to keep it running and to battery charged. It still runs fine, but could use a tune up. I had the engine and transmission rebuilt in July 2005. The rebuilt engine and transmission have approx. 71,000 mile on them. The tires were put on new in june 2009 and have about 75% tread left. The heater works but the a/c doesn't work. For people interested in a restoration project: the engine block and cylinder heads are not original to the car, but the rebuilt transmission is original. The exterior is in great shape with a few exceptions:-clear coat is pealing off in on hood and top. -minor surface rust on hood and drivers side rear quarter panel. -the rear spoiler was broken when I bought it (hit by falling tree limb). I fixed and repainted, but paint is starting to peel off-the paint on the front lower spoiler is peeling off.But as you can tell from the pictures, all defect on the exterior are all cosmetic fixes and nothing major is wrong with the exterior. The interior need a little work. (see pictures)-the drivers seat is coming apart. -the dashboard is cracking in 2 different places.-the trim pieces around the radio and gear shifter are slightly broken (someone broke in the car an stole the first radio that I installed)-the center console arm pad is not attached to the console itself. Needs replacing.-seats a little discolored, but in good shape. Sound System-Sony CD player installed in 2007-Original speakers in the dash-Sony Xplod 6x9 3-way 175watts each in the rear side panels. On Jan-22-11 at 05:38:43 PST, seller added the following information: All exterior light are working except the brake light in the rear spoiler. I believe there is a connection issue between the rear deck lid and the main body. Also the rear deck pull down motor doesn't work either. The previous owner said the it malfunctioned and wouldn't stop running so he disconnected it.
