Vehicle Detail
Owned over 10 years (second owner). Low mileage used engine added 100,000 miles ago. Last month - new timing belt, external engine belts, water pump, oil pump. Muffler replaced last year. Recently replace head gasket and now the engine has lost power and clanks. No smoke. Great interior (see pictures), good tires, full size spare, original jack and lug wrench, Toyota factory shop manual, new O2 sensor. Recently replaced injectors, brake pads, three extra pads remain. Misc spare parts included (windshield water reservoir, engine computer, ignitor, coil, air regulator, complete air filter and regulator assembly). Shocks / struts, and CV joints replaced two years ago. New engine mounts and floor mats replaced last year. AC works fine. Emergency brake sticks at times. Great automatic transmission with overdrive. Full range of gears with power shift control button. My best mileage was 38 mpg at 60 mph (last year). Rear window defroster works well. Headlights flip up and down and shine brightly. No spoiler or luggage rack. Alloy rims. Front skirts missing paint and obvious road wear. Small dints in front of passenger headlight (grazed a deer four years ago). Pop up headlight bucket was replaced with used part. Small dints behind passenger door (at lower part of car). Working AM-FM- Cassette radio with new speaker in front and base speaker under drivers seat. All electrics work - fan, lights, speedometer, tachometer but not oil pressure gauge. It stopped working after head gasket was replaced. Never wrecked ( except a glancing blow to the deer at night in the rain..it wandered off). Battery is good and it will start just not idle too long while clanging. A lot of potential for a small investment. Good luck in bidding. No liens, clear title. Winning bidder must pick up (tow or carry) from Charlotte NC (near Ballentine). Many odd spare parts- relays and sensors (see photo). A treasure trove for someone who wants a fun, sporty, efficient two seater. On Jan-18-11 at 16:39:24 PST, seller added the following information: Minor corrections in the interest of accuracy and honesty - now rewritten : Owned over 10 years (third owner, my wife was second owner).
