Vehicle Detail

Owner Information Nova is located in Livermore, CA. Garage kept, she has never slept a night outside. Vehicle Information Miles: <100 on new engine Exterior Color: Indy Pearl (aka Yellow) Interior Color: Black VIN: 304370161038 Title: Clear CA Title The photos come out as two very different yellows, depending if the flash is used. The darker yellow/orange photos are more accurate than the brighter yellow ones. The pictures don’t do the color much justice, it’s a very pretty yellow with a lot of pearl. If you find a "Honda S2000" in yellow, and that's the exact color of this car. Vehicle Description This Nova has been my side project for the last two years, I’ve taken her from a rusty old jalopy to a well restored hot rod. What you’re bidding on is not a finished product, but a project is in it’s next phase for you to work on. See the “What Needs to be Completed” section for details on what you’ll need to focus on and be aware of when buying. Also, 100% of the parts used to rebuild this car were purchased NEW. All engine parts are NEW, all interior is NEW, wheels/tires are NEW. Nothing is from a junk yard, used or off a donor car. Everything I put into this car was purchased NEW; I can provide receipts if needed. Ididit chrome steering column w/ tilt Lokar Gas, Brake and Clutch pedals. All cluster gauges are OEM, except the clock has been removed to accommodate a Tachometer. External Battery, Oil and Temp gauges under dash. Bodywork / Paint: New quarter panels, on both sides. The car was taken down to bare metal, epoxy primed, sealed and then painted. Paint is a three-stage Dupont paint. The color is off a Honda S2000. It’s called “Indy Yellow”, and has a lot of small pearl flake. A lot (all?) of the SuperSport chrome trimming was removed during the restoration. Personal preference. (I no longer have the chrome available) Braking, Suspension and Wheels Mustang II Front-End kit from TCI Rear is OEM Car has been lowered about 2-3” in the front with drop spindles and by cutting 1/2 a coil off the springs. Front disc brakes Rear drum New Master Cylinder w/ 9” booster 17X8 Torq Thrust II w/ Goodyear 255/45-17 Photos I took a lot of pictures, with two different cameras. You'll find a few duplicates to compare. Email me if you need more photos, or have a question about a photo. My photos can be found on Flickr by following these links: Exterior Engine Interior General Pictures ------- Historic Pictures ------- Day 1 Pictures Work In Progress What Needs to be Completed Most sellers say their car is “perfect”, but that is usually far from true. I once read someone saying that a car advertised as “Rust Free” actually means “Free Rust”. I make no claims this car is perfect, and no claims it's Rust Free. I've done a very good job at restoring the car, but imperfections will still exist, and there is no way I could attack all the hidden rust on a 48 year old car. I highly recommend you see the car in person, but that’s not practical for everyone. I’ve included many pictures of the car on a Flickr account, and I’ll happily take more if requested. Now, here is some things I know that you need to be aware of when buying this car. You don't see this in many auctions, so I hope you will appreciate my transparency in disclosing everything I think is "wrong" with this car. Alignment needed. Car has major vibrations above 35mph; it’s never been professionally aligned and needs to be. The carb is not tuned. You will need to tune the engine. No exhaust. There is currently no exhaust on the car, I never finished this part. It has headers, but nothing after that. It’s very loud. The paint is about an 8 out of 10 on the inside and outside. It’s not show quality, but it’s very good. Some minor chips where some panels meet, these occurred during reassembly. I've tried to identify some of these chips on the Flickr Photo pages. Look for pictures with a red pointer to help you identify any chips. The good thing about using a "Honda" color is that you can easily find touch-up paint! Rear window leaks, and will need to be resealed. This shouldn't be too difficult, any auto glass shop should be able to reset the window. If you plan on shipping in an open air truck, I'll assist in getting this sealed before it ships. Driver-side rear tire has some sidewall damage from rubbing. The cause of the “rubbing” has been fixed (i.e the tire no longer rubs), but the tire visibly damaged. I checked with the local tire shop, they assured me that the damage is cosmetic only. You could ‘flip’ the tires if you like (turning the bad sidewall to the inside of the car). Windshield wipers do not work. They most likely need a new motor. The steering wheel is not new. Ha Ha. Ya, it’s the one that came with the car + some paint from all the prep. You'll most likely want to buy a new one. The passenger side window ‘vent’ is missing the weatherstripping. The windows roll up fine, but are not the smoothest. You have to pull up on the window to get a good seal. I’d imagine with some adjustments you can get them working good. I'm no pro at adjusting windows or doors. Both driver and passenger front windows have rust on the bottom of window frame. It's not very noticeable, but you should be aware. Radio has no AM/FM antenna. I’d recommend you install some sort of glass antenna on the rear window. Engine bay paint isn’t perfect. Between all the work on the brakes and hydraulic clutch, some of the paint has pealed off. You can touch it up, or refinish. The headliner needs some work, try as I did I couldn’t get the damn thing installed tightly. Sun visors are not installed, but ARE included in the sale. The sun visors are still the original white color and will come with matching headliner material for you to refinish. Fuel gauge does not work. The sender in the fuel tank is new, so it looks like the gauge will need to be replaced. You will need new ducts from the heater to the vents. The factor ones were beyond repair. Currently the heater just blows into the dash. As a FYI, I installed a new heater coil. The blower motor on the heater works great. The wiring on the car works good, and it will work if you change nothing. It's not color coded, but it gets the job done. Now, if I was keeping the car I would probably buy one of those nice generic wiring harnesses and re-wire the whole car. That's just me, I'm picky about these things. Shipping Shipping arrangements and payment are the responsibility of the buyer. I will assist with any shipping arrangements as requested. I highly recommends shipping the vehicle in a covered transport. I do not know how much it will cost to ship this car to your location, please don’t ask me. Use the eBay shipping calculator. I’m guessing it will be around $700-$1200 to ship. Vehicle is FOB Livermore, CA; zip code is 94550. Payment Information $500 Paypal deposit due within 48 hours of auction ending Full payment due via certified funds (bank check, wire, etc) within 7 days of auction ending Escrow.com available, if buyer agrees to pays 100% of fees. Other Important Information DisclaimerI’ve done everything I can to accurately describe this vehicle being sold. I trust you won’t be surprised by anything when you receive the car. However, when buying a vehicle there is a certain amount of risk you have to assume. You are buying this car AS-IS with no warranty or return period. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. Upon receipt of vehicle, I highly recommend you have a qualified mechanic perform a full inspection of the vehicle to be certain nothing was damaged or came loose in shipping and that it’s up to code with your local vehicle code laws. Once the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company (or to you in person), you will assume full financial responsibility for the vehicle. This includes taxes, title, insurance, etc. Why are you selling? Why? Well, that's a good question! I've loved working on this Nova, and it will always hold a special spot in my heart. However, I've really wanted to build a FactoryFive '33 Ford Hot Rod for a while now. I only have so much money, and so much garage space. The money from this sale will go into buying a kit from FactoryFive, and start the next Hot Rod adventure. . :)
