Click here to get eBay selling tools at Auctiva.com Overview: This is a really clean 2000 Lexus LS400, with the limited issue Platinum Series trim level, complete with factory touch screen navigation system, factory 6-disc CD, heated seats, moonroof, front and rear side airbags, V8 powered rear wheel drive. I recently purchased this car at a local auction from a Mercedes dealer. The title indicates that it is a two owner car, and that the second owner purchased it from a Lexus dealer via the Lexus Certified PreOwned program in 2003 with 32k miles on it. The car is in excellent cosmetic shape, with no rust, dents, or major scratches. The paint work and body parts seem to be original all over the vehicle. There are a few minor nicks on the bumpers and some other really light scratches that may be able to be buffed out, but considering the age, it is in excellent shape. The vehicle history report indicates that the vehicle has never been in an accident, and I would agree. The car starts right up, the engine is smooth, acceleration is great, the transmission is strong and shifts properly through all gears. I will list the known defects below, and the best pictures I can take (especially of any issues), but the car is a a pretty nice one! Body: All body panels are rust free. The body seems all original, and there is no evidence of prior paintwork. The front and rear bumper covers have some minor scratches, and the right rear door has some light scratches (they look buffable). The passenger side mirror is monochromatic (auto dimming at night) and it seems stuck in the night shade. It is perfectly usable. You probably would not bother to fix any of these issues, but I just want to be careful with my description. They are are slight things and I am just being picky. Overall it is in excellent, way above average condition for it's age. Engine Compartment: The engine compartment is in good shape, there are no obvious leaks or issues that I can see. The gas powered strut lifts that prop up the hood have lost their oomph, and you have to hold up the hood. The fluids are all at the right level and the oil is clean. I have no repair history on the vehicle, but I am sure a Lexus dealer could pull it for you. Interior: A very clean interior, as pictured. It has leather seating, with almost no signs of wear, and I can find no tears or holes in the seats, rugs, or headliner. The floormats are in good shape, and are factory originals. The wood grain trim around the shifter, on the dash, and on the steering wheel is in great shape, no cracks or peeling. Ride: Car starts normally, and the transmission shifts fine. Acceleration is normal. Suspension seems to be in good shape, with no strange rattles or noises. The car goes down the road straight and there is nothing abnormal about how it rides. The vehicle has brand new front rotors and pads, and the rear rotors and pads have more than 50% life left. The ride in this car is very good, and I would say it is better than average. There is a warning light on the dash that says 'Headlight Leveling', which I believe is related to a sensor that positions the headlights according to the load in the vehicle. The HID headlights, however, work perfectly and point normally down the road. Accessories: HID Headlights, blinkers, interior lights, heated seats, door locks, power windows, front and rear side airbags, dual zone heat and air conditioning all are fully functional. The factory installed touch screen Navigation/Radio system works well. There is a 6-disc CD changer above the glove box which works fine. I have 2 master factory keys with built-in remotes, both keys work in the door, ignition and trunk, but the battery in one key is dead and the remote entry doesn't work when using that key. I will try to find a battery for this during the auction period and fix it, time permitting. The factory first aid kit is under the drivers seat, and there are manuals for the car and navigation system. Wheels: Wheels are not bent, and are true, no noticable vibration at any speed. The rims are factory rims, but the finish has started to peel on all wheels (see pics). They are not road-rashed or scraped up. The tires are just about brand new, 100% tread Aurora 225/60/R16 all season tires. They have absolutely no noticable wear. Trunk: Clean, with the optional Lexus branded rug covering the floor. There is a used full size spare, with the jack and factory tool kit. Title: The title is 'clean' meaning no branding from prior issues like salvage, flood, etc. I am a licensed dealer, and will prepare the required titling paperwork for you as part of the sale. There are NO 'Documentation Fees' or 'Preparation Fees' or any other kind of fees charged by me. You only pay me what you bid for the car. No games or gimmicks. The purchaser will be responsible for any sales tax and/or registration fees that arise as they title the car - they are not included in the sale. Seems obvious, but I just want to be clear. Payment and Transportation: I am located 20 miles south of Boston MA. I am close to Amtrak, Boston's Logan Airport (Airport code BOS) and Providence's T.F. Green Airport (Airport code PVD). I can pick you up at any of these locations. If you ship the car, I can bring it to a nearby shipper of your choice. I don't personally know any shippers, but there are some big ones in my area, and ebay has a pretty good list. I require a $250 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction conclusion. Full payment must be made within 7 days of auction conclusion. If paying via PayPal or Credit Card, must be done prior to pickup, or by cash or certified check at the time of pickup. Payment must be completed within 7 days of auction conclusion. I don't mind if it takes you longer than 7 days to arrange travel and pickup the car, but full payment must be made within 7 days of auction conclusion. Warranty: This vehicle is being sold as is. I think this car is a great buy, and I would drive it across country in a heartbeat, but it is 10 years old, so do not buy it if you don't agree. Plates & Tags: I do not issue temporary plates or tags. Please bring your plates when you pick up the vehicle. About Me: I have a dealer's license, but only do this casually. It is not my full time job. I sometimes buy a few cars for friends and relatives, and a few too many for me, according to my wife. I have sold 5 cars on eBya in the last 12 months with 100% positive feedback.
