Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a real 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible that has been restored and modified to turn heads. Under the hood: An original numbers correct Pontiac 400 block that has been tastefully modified inside and out to increase performance, but maintain a solid driver that only requires standard maintainence. The block has been bored and fitted with dome shaped pistols and performance valves to increase the compression ratio to 10.5:1. The block is topped off with Edelbrock valve covers and a Demon 650 carb. The stainless steel exhaust runs straight from the headers to (2) Flowmaster Delta 40 Mufflers and finishes with rear chrome tips. The automatic Turbo 350 transmission has been completely rebuilt from the ground up and handles every bit of power this engine delivers. An extra large oil pan and pump were installed to insure this engine runs cool even at parade speeds in the middle of July. The car has been dyno tested with 415 hp at the shaft and 300 hp at the rear wheels. A new battery was installed in 2010. The rear axle houses a 3.73 rearend that can quickly break the tires free and leave a pair of tire marks just about as long as you want. The Exterior: The body was stripped and every bit of rust removed. New quarter panels and floor pans were installed where necessary. The body was shot with numerous coats of PPG Velocity Red The "Judge" badging and stripes are NOT stickers, but hand painted with PPG Harlequin paint. The body was finished 4 coats of clear and wet sanded in between each coat It would be hard to find a smoother, nicer finish on any car for this price. The hood is an original RAM Air III hood, but was not original to this car. The hood mounted Tachometer works very well - It's interior light works and is accurate The 18" front / 20" rear wheels are wrapped in Sumitomo rubber and really add to it look. The Interior: The interior is in exceptional condition. The doors have been fitted with new door panels. The front seats have received new padding and been recovered to match the original details. The Convertible top retains the original frame, but the top is completely new. The carpet has also been replaced with new. The dash is original, but was refinished. - There are no cracks or issues with the dash and it looks good as new. The rear seats are all original and look like they just came from the factory. All guages, interior lights, dash clock, factory radio and turn signals work well A custom built center console has been installed to hold the AM/FM CD Player with hideaway face The interior has 8 speakers, including 2 in custom built fiberglass kick panels. The Trunk: Just like the engine compartment, the trunk also houses plenty of power. 1000 watt amp, capacitor and fuse box are setup to drive the 12" subwoofer The entire trunk compartment has been fitted with custom panels wrapped in vinyl to finish off the look and make the truck just as impressive as the rest of the car. Issues to be aware of: The speedometer reads a little slow. The larger diameter tires are causing the vehicle to travel faster per revolution. This is a fairly easy fix for a transmission shop. The nose cone is original to the car. Due to materials of the period, is has developed some hairlines in the paint from flexing. The cone also has a few minor nicks from being driven. None of this is major does become visible inside of 2-3 feet. The driver side door lock does not work well. - I haven't gotten around to fixing it because I never lock the car. I'd rather a thief see there's nothing to steal except a few CDs rather than cut the top or destroy the door to find out. I personally warranty this car to be just as it is represented and everything will work just as listed. If you have any issues with this car outside of normal wear, I will pay to fix them or make it right. If you have any questions or would like greater detail, feel free to call me at 502-802-8072.
