Vehicle Detail

I'm listing my 1980 BMW 635csi. This is a true grey market European import, with German instruments, original European front and rear bumpers and valence, and the fantastic high-compression Euro six engine. The car has been upgraded with a catalytic converter (not original to the Euro car), and passes the local Portland DEQ without issue. I have owned and maintained for 8 years now. This has been by far the best driving, most reliable car I have ever owned. Runs drives and handles with no major issues. The interior is very clean and in very good condition for the vintage. This car has been in the Northwest it's entire life, where we don't salt the roads. The underside is solid with very little rust for a 635; minor repairable rust is shown in the photos. Recent work in recent years:Rebuilt automatic transmissionNew brake master cylinderNew heater coreFront wheel bearingsNew accessory belts Known issues:AC not working; leaks somewhere.Exhaust is loud, but not rusted out or leaking anywhereRust on fender lip (shown), minor rust bubbles under paint. Underside is very rust free. One tear on the drivers seat, a couple of tears on the rear seat (I can replace the rear seats at the buyers request) That said, I would not hesitate driving this car across the country. No joke; BMW built a fantastic car in 1980 that still outshines many newer cars. It is solid, stable and rides fantastic on the freeway as fast as you want to go. I wouldn't even consider selling it if I could fit a child car seat in the back. Own an appreciating classic that you can drive everyday. 20% due within 24 hours of end of auction. Buyer to arrange shipping if needed. On Jan-12-11 at 12:32:14 PST, seller added the following information: I'm listing my 1980 BMW 635csi.
