Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is my beloved '93 Land Cruiser. This thing is a tank and will go anywhere you want! The Kelly Blue Book private party value in "fair" condition is $4,740.00. My reserve is well below than that. **There is no loan or lien on this vehicle, despite what AutoCheck says. I have a clean Wyoming title in hand** **The accident listed on AutoCheck is news to me as of about five minutes ago. I had no idea an incident had occurred** Features: Bulletproof 4.5 liter 1FZ-FE engine, full time 4WD, center differential lock, American Racing rims, newer matching tires with 70% tread, power windows, power doors, power locks, keyless entry, power sunroof, power steering and brakes, tilt wheel, factory roof rack with Yakima ski and bike attachments, factory running boards, third row seats, factory tinted windows, two tone paint, bug deflector, custom cargo tray, cloth seats, and towing package. This vehicle has never been wrecked. I have a clean Wyoming title in hand for the next owner. The good: Body is straight with no dings or dents. Paint is generally in good condition. The all-wheel drive system is EXCELLENT and works perfectly. The center differential lock is a nice bonus for those especially sticky situations. This vehicle will get through mud, snow, ice, you name it, with ease. The tires have about 10k miles on them and have good tread. The interior is clean. This has always been a non-smoking vehicle so there are no odors. For the most part the interior is in excellent condition. The driver's seat, which usually is torn and shows wear in these vehicles, is in tact. The cloth seats are in great condition. There is seating for seven with the 3rd row seats installed (not pictured, but they are included). There is a Kenwood stereo installed with iPod and auxiliary hookups. All front speakers are Kickers and I have replacement speakers for the rear doors which I have yet to install. The cargo area is clean and has a custom cargo tray. The carpet is very nice throughout. This Cruiser will do it all whether it's getting groceries, going camping, taking the family skiing, or going on an off-road adventure in the desert! This is an incredibly dependable vehicle. Despite it's list of "bads" and "uglies" I would trust it to get me anywhere, in any weather, at any time. I have driven this vehicle all over Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado, on interstates, dirt roads, and Jeep trails, going fast and slow, in the heat and the cold, on the plains and in the mountains, and she's been reliable and dependable in all of those scenarios. The bad: While the paint is generally good there are some scuffs, scratches, and a spot on the front driver's door just below the window that is beginning to fade. The aforementioned wheels do have some rust. There are also two small rust spots, both smaller than the size of a pencil eraser on the rear tailgate. The front bumper has a number of paint chips. The previous owner installed a less-than-nice bug deflector, which rubbed against the hood and scuffed the paint. The left rear blinker is broken and will need replaced. The clean interior has several imperfections. There is a small hole on the back of both front seats. The dash is cracked just above the instrument cluster (although a dash mat is included). There are some lights in the dash that are out. The steering column cover broke and is no longer there so a new one will need to be installed. The power antenna works, but the mast broke off sometime before I owned it. I never bothered to replace it. The rear driver's side window works intermittently. And as with most Cruisers she does leak oil. It has been a minor inconvenience for me over the last 3 1/2 years having to deal with the little oil spots on the driveway. I haven't had to add oil when driving around town, but on longer journeys I take a couple of quarts just to be safe. The ugly: The low oil pressure light comes on, however, oil pressure seems to be fine. There was talk about a year ago that the head gasket needed to be replaced, but a second mechanic's opinion stated otherwise. I have driven it without hesitation since and have not experienced any problems. Last week it began leaking antifreeze and the heater stopped working. I think its a lose hose somewhere but I haven't had a chance to have it checked, which I will do before the auction ends. The window washer sprayers haven't worked in the front or rear for some time. The doors have a tough time unlocking when it is cold. The driver's door handle broke off in the cold about a month ago and needs to be replaced. If you are looking for a tank that is bulletproof and will take you wherever you need to go in any kind of weather, albeit in a somewhat inconvenient (no door handle) and ugly (no steering column cover, paint scuffs on hood) manner, this is the car for you! I absolutely LOVE this thing and am sad to see it go. My ONLY complaints about the make this vehicle are the lack of cupholders and the pesky alarm system, which goes off if you leave the car unlocked for more than about 20 seconds. However, as much as I've enjoyed this car it is time for me to move on to something else. I have listed every feature and imperfection I can think of as I want this to be an honest assessment of the vehicle's strengths and weaknesses. That said, I am sure there is something I've forgotten as I live with this car each and every day. As I think of other things to say I will post them, but please also do not hesitate to contact me through eBay. This vehicle is listed for sale AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranty expressed or implied. I will gladly provide any information to the purchaser that will help facilitate pick-up or shipping, however, pick-up or shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as the vehicle is also listed for sale locally. Winning bidder must submit a $250.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment is required within seven days of auction's end. I will accept cash or a certified check for the balance. Full payment must be cleared and in my bank account before the vehicle will be released. Please contact me if you have any questions or comments! Happy bidding! On Jan-08-11 at 16:00:36 PST, seller added the following information: Here's a few other things I remembered since I listed the Cruiser: The driver's side mirror is wobbly. It isn't cracked or anything, it just wobbles in the mirror assembly - fairly annoying but not the end of the world. The third row seats are not pictured, but are present and are in excellent condition. Naturally they will be included in the purchase. There is a brand new battery. The power steering recently went out and was fixed. I think it was the pump that was replaced. I had an oil pan heater installed last year or the year before. This is a nice feature, but the plug in was severed by the hood so although the pan heater is present there is currently no way to plug it in. The hood is magnificently difficult to open. There is one original key fob and two keys. The key fob works but is held together with some rather fetching tape. A replacement fob is included. I have the original owner's manual as well as paperwork from various repairs over the years. The Cruiser is at the shop as we speak to have the coolant leak looked at. However, they were unable to fit it in yesterday or today. So, whatever the issue might be, I won't know what it is until after the auction's end. As such, I have reduced my reserve price by $400.00 to offset the cost of whatever the repair might be. THE RESERVE PRICE IS FAR BELOW the KBB value. I fully understand that there are repairs to be made to the old girl and have set the reserve with that in mind.
