Up for sale is my 1962 Mercury Comet. It was a 6 cyl. now a 302 V8 with a C 4 auto. It has all original paint, with very little rust on the lower front fenders. the interior is 80% original with the dark blue inserts in the seats redone. New carpet & headliner. The 302 motor is out of a 69 Mustang with approx. 75000 miles and runs great. The following items are new, Rocker covers, Alum. intake, 650 carb, air cleaner, plugs & wires, belts hoses, battery, headers, alt, breathers,starter, oil, filter, fuel filter, fuel lines, oil pan, and pick up, alum. radiator, Trans. cooler, 2500 stall converter, rebuilt C4 auto with reverse manual valve body (200 miles), trans lines, quarter stick shifter, drive shaft, narrowed 8.8 rear with 3.50 posi and Moser axles, leaf springs, shocks, gas tank, exhaust, (complete front to back) , master cyl.brake lines, brake hoses, 4 wheel disc brakes, Mustang II front end (Rod Garage), mini tubbed (very clean job), custom rear bumper with exhaust cut outs (re- chromed), 20"x 10" in the rear, 17"x 7" up front. The following items are not new, all chrome and trim is original to the car and in very nice shape. All the glass is in good shape and works fine. Gas gauge works, all lights work as they should. This project was started with a high attention to detail, and needs to be completed. This car has been driven approx. 200 mile since it current state, but it will need a few things done to be driven any long distance. The front end needs to be aligned and the shifter needs to be adjusted. Starts runs and drives with ease.         Also, I have a 4.6 L. Cobra motor that is not included in this auction. This is a new crate motor from Ford, with a T6 trans. It comes with the engine harness and computer. These components are new and I was going to install them in the Comet. I will sell this motor and trans. with or without the car for 4,000.00. (see pics).      As with all older cars they should be seen in person. I tried to describe this car to the best of my ability, but I am sure I forgot something.
