PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING:::: Up for auction is a 1979 Fuel Injected Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible. It shows 02430 miles on the speedometer, not sure if that is the acurate miles or not. It has a 4 cyl engine & standard transmission. It has 600.15L tires. The volks is in grey primer. the car was totally complete but the owner took it all apart to completely restore it but can no longer afford to finish it. There is some minor rust spots on the rear floors but it comes with 2 brand new floor pans. The underneath looks good but there is some rust in the area under the seat where the battery goes. I am told that they most all rust there but replacement parts for the floors are easily avaliable. The rear seats need a little cleaning & there is no spare tire. The volkswagen has all 4 original hub caps. The volks comes with a new master cylinder, new fuel pump, new rear floor pieces & 3 new chrome wheel rings. It has all the glass & none of the glasses are broken. the front seats need to be redone and as you can see from the pics, it needs a new convertible top. I am listing the car for a friend who has the car parked in my yard who has fallen on hard times. He is selling his 79 volkswagen convertible to raise cash. He has the title for the volkswagen but it was signed in the back by the neighbor who sold it to him, but that neighbor has since moved away & we do not know to where so it is being sold with no title & a bill of sale only. I will give you the old signed title if you want it but dont know if they are any good since it is signed, so i am basically selling it with a bill of sale only. I do know of a place that you can get the papers for the volks for a fee & will give you the contact info for them. If youre going to use it for parts then the papers dont matter.The car is parked in my yard & i do have the keys for it & you are more than welcome to come by & look at it if you are in the bronx nyc area. I dont know much about volkswagens but since it is in my yard & you have a question about it, I can take a look at it & let you know. If i cant find the answer, I will ask the owner & get the info from him & get back to you. I am doing my friend a favor since he does not know how to use the computer, plus if i help him sell it, I will eventually get my parking spaces back. I will not ship vehicle but will assist with loading. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I have a friend with a tow dolly who might deliver the vehicle to some parts of the nyc tri state area for a fee but the vehicle & fee must be paid in full before the vehicle leaves my yard. The vehicle will not be released till the vehicle is paid in full. There is a 100. dollar deposit fee due in 2 days & the balance can be paid at pickup or by check or money order but it has to clear my bank before anything will be released including cashier checks , bank checks & certified checks.
