The car is being listed a second time because the previous bidder, who created a new ID during the auction, tried to change the terms after winning and never paid. Because of him, there will be NO EXTENSIONS of the due dates for the deposit and the final payment. The car is being sold AS IS. I believe it to be repairable, as did the insurance company. They gave a repair estimate of $3210. Given the age of the car and the fact that the repair cost plus rental car cost would exceed the NADA value of the car, they elected to "total" it. I am also attempting to sell the car at the "Buy It Now" price outside of eBay, so this auction may terminate early if the car is sold that way. The front end was smashed in by the high rear bumper of an SUV. The grill, and hood were pushed in and the radiator was pushed back against the fan. I was able to drive the car home from the accident scene, about 7 miles. The car did overheat and coolant spewed out, but I did not experience any additional problems. I don't think the head gasket blew. The car started and the engine ran until the insurance company disconnected the electrical system, which I have not re-connected and will not. The form affixed to the windshield by the insurance company appraiser rates the car as "Run & Drive." I was going to repair the car myself, but I simply don't have the time, nor am I confident in my abilities to get it done properly. I started to collect replacement parts for the project and these will be included with the car. These parts are all used. These include a complete radiator mounting frame (in the same Boston Green as the car), a radiator shroud, the plastic underhood airflow deflector, left headlight mounting bracket and other used small parts. Also included is a new grill mounting panel that is primed in black. I will also include a replacement driver's side interior door panel that I had purchased - not related to the accident damage. For local pick-up I will also include a replacement used hood (black) in excellent shape. If you are having the car picked up by a shipper, I don't know if they can take the hood, as it obviously won't fit in the car or in the trunk. A couple of other things: the passenger side doors only open from the inside and the lock tumbler in the driver door does not work. The gear for the driver's seat back needs to be replaced, as the back will not come up. The original radio was replaced with a Sony AM/FM/CD/Aux/iPod unit. Headliner sags a little and the headliner from the sunroof is gone. The hinge on one side of the glovebox is broken. I have not yet received the Salvage Title from the state. If it has not arrived by the time you pick up the car, I will mail it to you via USPS Express mail at no additional fee.
