1983 Jeep Scrambler, 258 engine, 4-speed transmission. 132K, but engine and transfer case were rebuilt at 90K. Tons of new parts and a binder full of service records since new including receipts for rebuild. Does not burn or leak any fluids. It has been very reliable and I would trust it to drive anywhere. Frame and chassis are in excellent condition, has one small piece of one body mount that is missing (see pics) which does not affect the way it drives/performs. Body does have some rust but nothing tragic. Bed and tailgate are very good. Also includes rear folding seat (not shown). Overall, a quality driver and a solid investment. Runs and drives great. I bought this at the end of last winter to put a plow on it and drive it through this winter, but I can't bring myself to do either- its just too nice. I have put a lot of money and time in it since then with intention of keeping it. I just bought another 4x4 so regretfully, I am selling this one. Superlift 2.5" lift leaf springs, poly bushings Cowl SealRear window sealDash knobs and lights, including HVAC lights and all cluster bulbs- everything works Pro Comp black powdercoated rear bumper w/ 2" receiver (never used) -Jeep has newer 31x10.5 Mud King tires in excellent condition with 95% tread, matching spare with new cover-Door hinges have been drilled and tapped for newer style Wrangler mirrors (mirrors are new).-Comes with original "Jeep" rubber bed and tailgate mats.'-New paint on interior and exterior of hardtop. Also installed latches where it attaches to the windshield frame. All hardware attaching the top to the bulkhead is stainless. -Pro Comp 6" off-road lights Some things that need attention: The blower motor works and throws good heat on all speeds but is getting noisy. It will need replaced soon, about a $20 fix.The temperature gauge in the cluster doesn't work. The previous owner installed a separate gauge that works well. Never goes above 185, even on 90 degree days. The driver's side floor has been repaired. Its amateur, but it doesn't leak and its solid. The passenger side has a little rust, but isn't rusted though. The bed floor was also replaced at some point. It is in good shape.The wiper linkage binds sometimes and will need rebuilt. These kits are readily available for around $80. The wiper motor is new.Horn doesn't work. The driver's door doesn't open from the outside very easily. The lock, latch and inside handle all work as they should.The bulkhead has some rusting and pinholes at the bottom. It should be repaired or replaced.
