Vehicle Detail
Ok, let's see If I can sell this truck with just ONE picture! (i'll send/post more if necessary)! I bought this for a "Father-son" project, but so far It's just been a "Father" project, so I'm in a "selling mood"! TOO BAD for him, because this RUNNING and DRIVING with everything working, (except the A/C) 1987 FORD F-250 4x4 is pretty cool! It needs some work though! Being a former PLOW TRUCK, with the blade electronics still intact, there is a right front fender that just takes too much work for me to fix. I'm getting a USED hood that will replace this one this week. The left side is in pretty good shape, with one easy-fix dent in the original front fender. The doors, cab, tail-gate and bed, which are original, need only minor body work, to be nice enough for paint! Inside the bed is pretty nice too, with only a few minor dents and some scratches. Black step-bumper in the rear and an A crack graces the front window. It's 33" mud-terrain BFG's are half gone, which are mounted on 16.5 Centerline type aluminum rims. Nice, chrome, nerf-steps on both sides! As far as the engine goes, i've installed a NEW water pump, an after-market aluminum radiator and fan, with NEW anti-freeze, NEW plugs and NEW wires. NEW air-cleaner, with an oil and filter change too! A NEW starter, with a new $120.00 battery starts this 351 cu in V-8 with ease! Running a little rough when cold, and not much better when warm, suggests that the 4-bbl Holley carb needs re-building. All the California smog stuff and AC equipment is there too! Inside, there is a bench seat that has been worn to the foam on the drivers side, belts are nice. The door pannels are OK, as is the dash pad and guages. No cracks! Carpet isn't bad, just a few stains, original, not worn-through. Nice fabric head-liner! Roll-up windows! In-dash PIONEER AM/FM/CD player sounds good! Coloumn-shift automatic, with four-by selector on the floor. California D.M.V. wants $550 for late fees and one year title. I do have a Calif. Pink Slip (title) in hand.
