Vehicle Detail
Hellow and thank you for stopping by and looking at my listing. Little history on this car. This car was bought to be sent over seas along with a silver sonata. You can either pick a silver sonata at the end or this blue/green sonata. This car is still covered under the factory bumper to bumper warranty. The car has been a great introduction to me as to how far hyundai has come as a brand. I can leave my house on less then a quarter of a tank of gas and make it to fredericksburg before I need to stop (120 miles). If your tired of the gas guzzling suv bringing you down then this is the car for you. The XM radio is a nice feature. Also the radio display is very easy and nice on the eyes. The trunk is the bigger then a camry. The interior came out really clean in this car. Also I sell mainly lease cars due to fact it makes me feel more comfortable that at least you can count on the company changing the oil on time. Any questions don't hesitate to call. If you are in need in any certain cars let me know. Also if anyone is interested in a 2010 prius let me know. The auction will not be taken down for any reason. Below is information about the sonata and the transformation the car undertook in 2009. All though this is a 2010 for sale the most information on this car was published in 2009. Shipping the car can be arranged Rates 650 to davison michigan. 1000 to los angeles Ca. Pretty much the most you will pay if you live way off the map is 1200. You cannot get this car on ebay for less then 12,989. Also keep in mind this car has a clean car fax report NO ACCIDENTS. Once again thank you for stopping by. International buyers please contact me before bidding with your phone number! Payment is due in 3 days of auction close. If you are financing please work out your details prior to close. ALL BIDDERS WITH UNDER 10 FEEDBACK PLEASE OBTAIN PHONE AUTHORIZATION PRIOR TO BIDDING. For ’09, Hyundai squared off the Sonata’s headlights and fitted a deeper, “more aggressive” (irony alert) chrome grille. The result: a subtle shift from vaguely 80's soap bar rental car invisibility to “what kind of car is that?” anonymity. Presuming, of course, someone actually cared enough to ask. Still, it’s a successful under-the-radar aesthetic transformation; you can no longer say the Sonata is so not a German or Japanese car. The SE sport package adds bigger five-spoke wheels and plastic effects to noticeable improvement. It pushes the car from its core competency, though. Which is convincing occupants they own/are renting a nice car. Lexus is the name of that game and the Sonata plays it to perfection. In fact, the Hyundai’s interior design is so startlingly upmarket—and derivative—one wonders if there’s a sedan equivalent to buyers who put fake M badges on their Bimmer’s butt and steering wheel. I repeat: the basic shapes ape the Lexian style with Frank Caliendo-ian aplomb. A chrome-like substance surrounding the center stack and gauges brightens-up the cabin to great effect, while most of the plastic surfaces are cushy and pleasant. All the buttons respond with firm precision. The Sonata offers more cubbies than a Montessori school. My tester was equipped with the 2.4-liter four cylinder engine (not the 3.3-liter six). The bargain and mileage hunter’s choice is no thoroughbred; it took longer to spool-up than a PS2, straining each of its 175 horses in the process. The Sonata’s five-speed automatic transmission was no help. It contemplated every move like a chess master without a clock. Honda and Toyota have smarter, quicker players. And? The Sonata’s engine moves the car around with acceptable gas mileage (22/32). It got up ramps. And I can’t say the Sonata handled all that much worse than others in this class. From Altima to Legacy, all of these $20K-ish sedans could do with a weekend at Lotus Engineering. There doesn’t seem much point in ranking them, which should make Hyundai happy. The Sonata’s brakes lacked the decrescendo I’ve come to expect from, well, every other car I’ve ever driven. They grab too much and too severely. The whole car bows its head as if ashamed of its spastic stopping powers. In my fake emergency brake test, I thought I might flip the thing trunk-over-cabin. I imagine I’d get used to them, but if your plan was to occasionally open this thing up to a bit of serious roadwork, it’s a stupid plan. Remember: you also have to steer the vehicle. The Sonata’s not going to give you any hints as to how. Road feel is for drivers who want to feel the road, and they’re driving other cars. The easiest thing to do in the Sonata is park. Parking’s good. As you’d expect, the list of standard equipment is crazy: stability control, traction control, ABS, tire pressure monitoring (three pounds either way), satellite radio, an auxiliary jack and a USB port for the stereo. Five years of roadside assistance. Ten years warranty. My Sonata stickered at $20,862 with an immediate $2k rebate, with more cash on the hood if I’d owned another Hyundai at some point. Way-hey! Hyundai shows the domestics how it should be done. I don’t know, I guess I’m spoiled. If it was 1972, I’d be raving about the Sonata. But it’s not, so I can’t. But again, this car is no more aimed at me than Barbie’s. Still… The more time I spent in the Sonata, the more I long for a quirk. Hyundai Motors turns 42 this year. I’d hoped it would’ve begun to distinguish Korean cars the way the Germans, Japanese, French or Italians have done. But there is no Koreaness to the car, to the whole line really. Would it spoil some vast eternal plan if the Hyundai Sonata added some personality to the equation? Even the minority motorists who value neck-snapping acceleration or brain-bash cornering have to buy a real car at some point, putting common sense ownership considerations above pure panache. If the Sonata had something, anything to set it apart from anything else, would it alienate the car’s core clientele? I’d like to think not. But then, nobody asked me. On Nov-02-10 at 20:19:34 PDT, seller added the following information: There's no doubt about it, the designers at Hyundai did a terrific job revamping the Sonata. You won't find any eccentric lines of flashy gadgets here. The idea was simply to appeal to the most consumers possible, particularly the crowd - and it's a sizeable one - that normally goes for the Toyota Camry, the best-selling mid-size sedan on the market. Obviously, Hyundai could not go after Camry buyers without offering a top-notch product. But when it comes to quality, Hyundai excels. Believe me, the initial quality of this Sonata is superior to that of most of its rivals, including the Mazda6, Nissan Altima and Pontiac G6. I can already hear the cynics saying, "Yeah right, as if a Hyundai could be better than a Mazda or Nissan!" To them, I'd like to point out that since 2006, U.S. Consumer Reports have found fewer problems per 100 vehicles in Sonatas than in Camrys and Accords. You can pick your jaw up off the floor now. Surpassing the teacher? In short, the Sonata is a very high-quality product. In several regards you could even say the pupil has surpassed its teacher. But in addition to quality, which it has already proven it has, Hyundai had to offer a product that was well-adapted to the demands of North American drivers. Here again, the manufacturer has outdone itself. When they redesigned the Sonata in 2006, they were obviously aiming for a layout that would be both simple and easy on the eyes. And though the result is not exactly spectacular, it's not ugly, which means they accomplished what they were going for. At worst, you could call it bland, but anyone who'd go as far as saying that is simply not part of the Sonata's target market. Naturally, the Sonata was inspired by its masters. The back end bears a resemblance to the 2005 Honda Accord, while the roof and side windows are reminiscent of an older version of the Camry. Comfort to spare The Sonata offers a pleasant interior for anyone and everyone, with seats that are comfortable for drivers and passengers alike. The bucket seats and the bench have just enough bolstering to be cozy, but not too much so. There's also a remarkable amount of space up front and in the back. The driver, however, will have to make do with a rather high driving position even though the seat can be adjusted vertically. Some will like it, others will not. As for the interior look, it's consistent with the exterior lines. In other words, it's sober. Fortunately, the stylists chose to combine different shades, which means some interesting colour combinations are available. Some versions have even been spruced up with simulated wood trim, which adds a little warmth to the cabin. I will admit, however, that the greenish instrumentation lighting is rather unsightly. It would be better off with bluish lighting, like in the Santa Fe and Veracruz. Two impressive engines are offered. The 2.4-litre in-line four is both smooth and highly fuel efficient. Meanwhile, the powerful 3.3-litre V6 offers excellent performance, plenty of flexibility and, once again, a smooth ride. No, you can't get the same amount of power as in the Camry, Accord or Altima (each of which features approximately 270 horsepower), but most drivers will find the Sonata offers more power than they need anyway. So, really, it's not a handicap. After doing Montreal-Toronto in this sedan, I can assure you that this vehicle is synonymous with "comfort." It's sound-proofing is surprisingly good, comparable to the Camry's. The well-balanced suspension provides excellent comfort, but it's firm enough to keep the car in contact with the road. And the steering? It's more precise than what you get in a Camry, but a little less that the Accord's, which is more sporty. Pretty price tag By now you'll have gathered that the Sonata has nothing to be ashamed of when compared to even its most popular competitors. And yet, did you know that it offers the same equipment for approximately $4,000 less? Not only that, but it comes with a five-year or 100,000 kilometre basic warranty - something the Japanese manufacturers don't offer (except Mitsubishi). The fact that financing and leasing rates are often ridiculously low and will speak for themselves should also be figured into the equation. In sum, the Sonata offers plenty of convincing arguments other than its price, which is simply the frosting on the cake. So why isn't it the top-seller in its class? A lot of drivers must still think a Hyundai will make them look cheap. But what about you? Are you ready to be seen behind the wheel of a Hyundai? On Dec-27-10 at 12:04:18 PST, seller added the following information: Pictures of the silver sonata added. Let me know which one you want when the bidding is over. Thanks
