Vehicle Detail

1982 JAGUAR XJS COUPE V12! This is a very nice example of a HE (High Efficiency) V12 Jaguar xjs. I bought this car and it had been in storage for 10 years in Victorville, Ca by its second owner. When I bought the car it was non-operational and I had the car and engine gone through by a Jaguar certified mechanic. Then we refurbished the interior and polished and waxed the car. Here is a list of what is brand new: Brand New:-thermostats-expansion tank-new radiator hoses-auxilary cooling fan switch-radiator caps-oil filter-fuel pump-fuel pump relay-fuel filter-new brake master cylinder -various fuel hoses-oxygen sensors-engine control module/unit (ECU) The engine runs great and really strong. It does not overheat whatsoever and has good oil pressure. The bad is: The transmission intermittently does not shift up to 2nd or 3rd gears so it will need to be trailered. I have been told this could be as simple as a cracked hose (of which there was many BEFORE it was repaired) or a bad vacuum modulator (a cheap part). It even (however unlikely) could be as simple as just needing the filter replaced. Also the gas tank does not vent well and the weather seals are cracking. The tires are old as well. Exterior: Someone did a hit-and-run which damaged the passenger door. You can repair the door, or I can include a free extra passenger door from our donor xjs that just needs to be painted and have the locks swapped. Also the hood had an area of missing paint that was spray painted to keep from rusting. I will include a free extra hood for the car and will install it if you do not want both. All that you need to do is have it painted. The car has very, very little rust. No rust on the rocker panels or under the floor mats. It is all very solid. Aside from these two defects, the exterior is in good condition along with the paint. Interior: The interior is extremely nice with refinished wood, and refurbished seats, dash, and door panels. It has the very accurate quartz clock found in the earlier models. The headliner is virtually new with only a few imperfections. It has an am/fm/cd player stereo as well. The car has a clear title. It would be an elegant driver with the transmission remedied. The engine is strong and has a lot of torque. The chrome pieces on the exterior are all very sharp and it could be a fantastic car with a little work. It is a nearly all original car with little modification. It has the original chrome starfish rims. I would like to sell this car so I can use the money to put into my other xj-s. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding! Absolutely NO RESERVE. WINNER TAKES IT HOME!
