Offered for sale, one 1979 Lincoln Town Car showing almost 92,000 miles. I cannot guarantee that this is actual mileage, but the condition of the car seems to suggest that it is. This was the last year for the BIG Lincoln. The car has the original 400-2v engine. It has an almost perfect original leather interior (I say almost because it IS from 1979 and there is minor wear, most people would describe it as perfect), body appears to have had one repaint some years ago. This Lincoln is EXCEPTIONAL for the year!!! I drove the car to Florida back in March with NO problems, cold a/c, and cruise works great. I cannot begin to tell you how smooth this old car is on the highway.The passenger front door lock is not working, and a rear window gear needs to be replaced, but both these things will be repaired and the car will be serviced before a sale. The vinyl top will need to be replaced sometime in the next year or so as there is some cracking in the skirt area below the rear window. There are a few small door dings, dings in some trim, and the impact mouldings on the passenger doors are distorted from a brush with something, but not very noticeable. I will not represent this as a PERFECT show car, it does have VERY minor flaws, but nothing that keeps it from turning heads in traffic!!!This is a perfect weekend cruiser, or with very little fluffing up, it could do well at local car shows. I have bought another car, and I need to make some room for it. I have placed what I consider a VERY low reserve on the car. I'm out to sell it !!! Let me STRONGLY stress that this car is sold AS IS !!! As confident as I am in the car it IS 32 model years old!!! The buyer will be responsible for any shipping costs, however, if you are within 800 miles or so of Charlotte, N.C. I'll drive the car and meet you halfway in it (For cost of the trip, of course). Again the car performed perfectly, but the odometer reading is now around 92,500.
