----Vehicle Description--- A beautiful, fully-loaded luxury coupe featuring a V12 six-liter engine. Handles well and accelerates phenomenally. Accommodates four passengers comfortably. A full array of luxury options, amenities, and safety features). A dream commuter or long distance road trip vehicle. Everything is genuine Mercedes Benz on the car. No aftermarket parts are installed anywhere aside from radio, which has been replaced with a surround sound, touch screen, 1DIN flip out, Clarion DVD unit with hans-free bluetooth calling feature. Car has accumulated 122000 miles (80% highway miles) so it has rock chips, and some touch up, but no dings or dents on the body that I can see or feel. Factory original paint is amazing on this Mercedes and turns heads wherever it goes. The vehicle was involved a minor front-side bump before my ownership so the front under spoiler has a slight crack; that was the extent of the damage (see photo). The ADS (Adaptive Dampening System) light comes on intermittently. I could not replicate the problem at the dealership service center, but the service technician stated that the vehicle speed sensors may be dirty. Right side power mirror, central locking vacuum pump, and cruise control is inoperable. These are known common problems associated with this model and is not critical in securing the car, safely adjusting the side mirror, or driving the car in any way. Car runs great, drives and stops straight. Engine revs up quickly and transmission shifts smoothly. Power-train is responsive and sounds like an exceptional V12 car should. There is absolutely no comparing this V12 to it's V8 sibling, this is a true super car. During my ownership the transmission was serviced, serpentine belt replaced, and a 1200CCA Sears Platinum Deep cycle Marine Battery was installed (stock battery was a lesser 950CCA battery). All fluids were changed with genuine Mercedes-Benz fluid when I purchased the car, engine oil changed every 5000miles or 6months thereafter. I owned the car for about 2 years and drove it approximately 5000 miles; it has been garaged indoors during my possession. Dealer service/maintenance stickers from previous owners are on driver's side door jam. The Mercedes-Benz W140-Body S600 C, (also known as CL600, 600SEC) is a rare, full featured, hand-built, luxury car. It is recommend that any prospective owner do some research regarding the proper maintenance and associated ownership costs of these wonderful vehicles. The only reason I am selling this vehicle is because I am moving and cannot take my cars with me. It's been a joy to own of the most luxurious Mercedes-Benz ever produced. This is a post '96 example of the S-classes, which means it received a critical update in design in the vehicle electronic harnesses and onboard computers.
