1990 Ford Ranger 4x4 XLT for sale well used but taken care of. 226000 miles. All scheduled oil changes every 3000 4000 miles. I've had this from new and have maintained it meaning I've changed out about 5 radiators, 2 heater cores, 2 alternators, 2nd transmission many brakes, rotors and calipers. This truck has a new exhaust system with two new converters and muffler with new tail pipe. It has about 300 miles on it since it was installed. I changed it to pass smog. The truck has better than new emission levels coming out of the tailpipe and will pass California smog test. 4x4 transfer case with manual locking hubs all work great!! Newer tires with about 5500 miles on them. Interior has XM cradle included with newer stereo. Bedliner. Problems from front to back. Truck needs a paint job slight rust on roof. I was hit in the drivers bed around 1995, the dealer repainted it thats why there is a finish difference. The dealer had better clear coat than factoryLittle ding left front but overall body good.Headlight and tail lenses foggy, Inside engine hood insulation torn ( it was torn from the factory and has just gotten worse. Engine leaks oil as all 4.0 do when they are old. (See Picture)The valve covers leak when parked over night and drips on the exhaust manifolds and after driving they heat up and smoke comes out from under the hood. They need changing. The pulley on the AC compressor is bad and AC will not work, AC bearing whines in the morning but quiets down after running, it needs changing. The lifters make noise in the morning it quiets down after a few miles. Remember 226000 miles with no major lower end work except for a valve job at 175000 a while back. Vacuum lines are brittle and need looking over.Interior is in good shape one small crack dash. The Nader bolts that hold the door shut are wore out and missing, an easy junkyard park I have been using tape. Drivers seat has a dip to the left butt but I sit on a cushion to compensate it. Brake pedal rubber is worn through on one side. Gas gauge does not work I just refill it at about 175, 200 miles Crank windows. Left tail light goes out sometimes when it wants to I and could never find the problem. Trailer Hitch I was rear ended a while back and replaced the bumper but shimed up the trailer hitch. It works fine and I has towed many boats since. Just telling you all the facts.Truck needs loving, first I would do the valve covers and AC compressor and that should hold you off for a while. Can be viewed at any time. I am by the Orange County Fairgrounds in Orange County California. About an hour south of Los Angeles. I will not ship vehicle. Local pickup only!! Its a Ford Ranger not a collectible Ferrari. Its has some life left to it for someone looking for a project. I just moved on to a 2010 Ranger and my old reliable is in my driveway. I just used it last week to tow a boat, all ran fine other than the oil issue described above. When you win this truck I will let you get a final approval after a test ride or even an inspection.
