Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition. I am the second owner of this vehicle I know of, but the free vehicle detail report revealed I'm actually the 4th. I purchased this vehicle approximately two years prior with 119,000mi on it. I purchased this vehicle from a guy frustrated by how little the dealer would give him for this vehicle in trade. To this day I still think what I offered this guy was a steal. I needed this vehicle because the engine was being replaced in my primary vehicle, rather emergently, and this vehicle was more economical than a rental car for 3-4+ months. Unfortunately, this is what the love of a turbocharger will do to you! This vehicle was my front line, daily driver vehicle for just over a year, and I have nothing but praise for it!! Since then I still enjoy....., no..., love...., driving this vehicle and use it as often as I can, which is at least a couple times a week. Since purchasing the vehicle it has new 'summer' tires (unfortuately the new studded snow tires were stolen) which only have about 1,000 miles on them. I have also replaced the alternator, A/C compressor, brakes, ball bearings, etc, etc to keep it running in top shape. At minimum my commute was 62 miles round trip, and limping around in a half cocked vehicle at odd hours of the day just didn't appeal to me. I also took the time to get aftermarket LED headlights, tail lights, fog lights, and a third brake light professionally installed which makes this vehicle look AMAZING!!!!! If you look at the door jambs of the vehicle, you will see the initial exterior color was maroon (explaining the gold interior), however the story goes that the jeep was out in a hail storm, and this SHOULD be the damage/accident the report is showing. The only evidence I've seen of any sort of damage is on the roof, and the glass in the driver's side mirror was replaced, however the paint job done appears top notch professional, and with the few wax jobs it got this summer, the paint is in better condition than what's on my 2004. My primary reason for letting this vehicle go is that in addition to my primary vehicle I have a company vehicle and a girlfriend kicking around making my driveway look like a used car lot. This jeep really bailed me out of a tough spot, and I hate to let it go, but I feel it has a LOT of life left in a good home, and learning from the person I got this from, I don't think I'll get a whole lot in a trade. It goes without saying that the jeep does not come with any sort of warranty, implied or expressed, however, I will do you the honor of attaching some brand new wipers, making sure the fluids are all topped off, and making sure the interior is in the condition pictured, if not better, and you can drive this thing right out of the box. The title on this vehicle is clean, and will be surrendered with the vehicle, or certified mailed to you at your request once money has changed hands. I'm pretty easy going about all of this, and there isn't much we couldn't solve with an email or two. Any vehicle of this age comes with a problem list. However this list is limited to the following : There is a white scrape on the right side mirror where somebody decided to trade paint with me. Nothing is broken it's just an eyesore (see attached picture). There is also a left rear mudflap that is among the missing (I didn't even notice this until I washed the vehicle to take pictures!!) The tailgate struts aren't as strong as they used to be, and the tailgate does at times stick, but always opens (this is a minor intenal adjustment I just haven't gotten to), and there is a little rust present on the rear wiper arm, and the struts to the rear glass. You are more than welcome to get this vehicle appraised by a third party at your expense I understand my location in the world doesn't make me convenient to many of the markets I hope to reach, however with my location just several miles out of Bangor, Maine, and relative ease to getting to Portland, Maine or even Boston I will assist you to the best of my ability in getting the vehicle to your shipping arrangements. I cannot, however, make these for you. I expect to hear from you within 48 hours of auction close for deposit arrangements, and payment is due within 10 days of auction close. The sooner the better so you can be riding in style on Christmas morning....., This vehicle is for sale locally, and I do reserve the right to end the listing at anytime for any reason without notice. However, that being said, somebody get this fish before it gets away!! If you desire more pictures, please provide me an email address to send them to, and a general idea of what you would like me shoot at. Questions before bidding please. Thanks for looking and Happy E-Baying!!
