Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1954 MG TF Series. As a brief history, my father acquired this car from his friend, the original owner, in August of 1998. From 1998 to 2003, my father meticulously restored this car to its original condition. When my father passed away last year, the title passed to my sister. I have to admit that I really don't want to part with this car, but tough economic times are forcing my hand. But enough about that, let's talk about the car: You'll see from the pictures that this car is in pristine condition from top to bottom; The engine and transmission were rebuilt by MG Motors. Engine No. XPAG/TF 31943 ; Car No. HDC46/2321 ; Body No. 11842 **THESE ARE MATCHING NUMBERS** ORIGINAL MILEAGE IS 43,920 Along with this car comes a complete photo gallery as well as receipts from all restoration expenses (more than $30,000 dollars); As the pictures show along with the original wire-spoke wheels are the convertible top, side windows, side rear window wings ... all in awesome condition. It even has a Tonneau cover for the interior. The car also comes with the original jack as well as the original engine hand crank. There is a Whitworth wrench set, but it's not the original set that came with the car. Also included is the original Operators Manual and Service Repair Manual. I think we covered all the important facts, but feel free to ask questions. The pictures don't lie...this car is a one-of-a-kind classic in mint condition! When my father restored this car, he didn't spare any expense. He envisioned this car as it came across the manufacturing floor in January of 1954 and restored it with that in mind. I'm sure any car afficionado can see that this was one of many antique cars my father restored. HAPPY BIDDING!!!
