This 442 had a complete frame on restoration in 2009. To the best of my knowledge, the heads, manifolds, and transmission (TH400) are original to the car, and in any event, are correct 1968 442 pieces. The shortblock is a very rare 68 455 with a forged steel crank. (I have a G block with forged Venolia pistons available at extra cost.) It has been rebuilt, and is a 9.5:1 motor so it runs fine on pump gas. The radiator is a new 4 row. The front and rear suspension were rebuilt with PST suspension components. The third member is a corporate 10 bolt posi, a heavy duty Vista Cruiser piece with 3:03 gears. (I can supply a '68 1 tire fryer if you want, but I'll have to charge extra to have it pulled.) The interior is new reproduction in pearl white. The rubber seals are new softseal. The tires are new 15" Cooper radials on 73 rally wheels. This is a non-air, non power steering/non power brake car. The paint is new, but it does have flaws. I would consider it a good production paint job, but certainly it's not show quality. There is no rust, and little filler in the car. The undercarriage has been painted black with Bill Hirsch rust preventive paint, and then satin acrylic enamel. I used all original metal that I had hoarded for years, no reproduction metal at all. Driving this machine is like going back in time, as sitting in a new car in 68.
