Largely overlooked today, the T500 was a unique proposition when Suzuki rolled it out to an increasingly power-hungry market in 1968. Granted, 47hp wasn’t exactly mind-bending, but as the largest production two-stroke twin since pre-war England’s water-cooled Scott, the T500 defied conventional wisdom by pursuing a different direction in motorcycle development This is a collector’s item. It has only had two owners. It has never seen the elements in its 39 years. It’s considers an antique. All original parts (fuel filters and air filters are no longer made for this so it does have aftermarket filters). It runs great but it does need some attention. The gas tank needs to be cleaned out and the carburetors could use some work and a good cleaning too. I would do it all myself but no longer have the time for it. I have had it for 10yrs and I don’t want to sell it but it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. It’s a great bike for someone wanting to learn how to ride or for the experienced rider looking for something unique. The pictures were taking this summer and it has sat in a garage ever since.
