Relisting due to a dead beat. "ridersf" apparently will bid on your auction, and then actually READ IT, and "make you an offer". Cancel all bids on any "higher-ticket" items from this bidder. PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD, and ask questions BEFORE your bid. That last clown cost me 100 bucks. '67 Skylark Rag. I believe the color is called blue mist. Interior is the same color. The car needs total restoration, but is very complete. I bought the car to do this winter, and then two things happened: My girlfriend bought a 2010 Challenger, and the building I have been working out of for three years is being demolished by the city. I now have to cram all of my shop stuff into my two-car garage, AND leave room for her car. I am not a happy camper.. Honestly, I do not know much about this car. It has a V8, and powerglide trans. It does not run, and other than putting a fresh battery in it, and spraying some starter fluid in the carb, I have done absolutely NOTHING to even try to make it run. I just haven't had the time. Supposedly it ran when it was parked a few years ago, and the former owner decided to restore the car. He pulled out the windshield, and tore off the convertible top. That is as far as he got... The GOOD: I found another "soft-ray" tinted windshield for the car, that will go with new owner. Found a new white top with pads in the box, (although a little dirty from shelf wear), that will also go with the car. All stainless trim is present, and in nice shape except for passenger windshield pillar molding that is a little dinged/bent up, but will go with car. FIVE original Buick Ralleys go with car. The car even has ALL the original Buick (springwasher) lug nuts!! Buckets/Console are all in tact. Shifter knob missing, however. Top motor/cylinders are there, all the bows are there, and the top rail is only rotted out on ends. Would work as is, or with repair to that area. Bumpers are both suprisingly nice, as are the tail lights, running lights, and reverse lights Grille is in nice shape All body panels have some rot, but ALL appear repairable. See pics. Lower fenders not bad at all, doors seem patchable, as do quarters. Frame is rusty, but can be repaired. The ragtops all rust near the rear axle from the water dripping through the top well, but this one seems ok in that area. Original "Sonomatic" radio is still in the dash, and dash has not been cut. Has original, (optional) rear fender skirts, painted body color, and original jack with tire hold down. The BAD: Frame is soft, and needs repair or replacement. Right front, and drivers side under door area. (All GS Skylarks had boxed frames, so those frames will work, also). Never got the keys for the car!! Have to get some made, or change the cylinders/ignition. I plugged an ignition switch out of my 66 Chevelle, which may even explain why I couldn't fire the car, because I think there is a short in it. Trunk is GONE, as is gas tank, and floors are soft. This car sat outside for a while, and it paid the price. Hood has a big dent in it where something fell on it. See pics. Interior needs all redone. Seat upholstery, panels, carpet, top boot, dash pad everything. Ashtrays rusty, one interior rear "coach light" lens missing. One rear glass in place. Rest were broken. No air cleaner In short, I believe this was a two-owner car, and has not been molested like so many are. Most of the original pieces are intact, but the car needs complete restoration. Odometer shows 29,000, so that is probably 129,000 and not 229,000. The data tag is still in place on differential, even. I hope that someone makes a decent driver out of it. As of now, car will be sold with notarized bill-of-sale. If I get the time, I will have the car inspected, and Ohio titled. (I bought the car from New York). Any questions will be answered as soon as I read them. Car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end auction early for a cash buyer. Non-refundable $500 deposit due within 24 hrs. of auction closing. Balance due no later than 7 days. Please do not bid if you don't have funds in place to complete transaction. I would like the car gone ASAP, but will hold for 30 days if paid for.
