1962 Thunderbird Landau Absolutely Rust Free Black Plate California Original! NO RESERVE!!! Acapulco blue with a white landau top, this bird has lived a pampered life. Purchased new on June 19th, 1962 at Mark Tuban Ford in Mountain View, California the car lived in Santa Clara, CA till 1983 when the owner relocated to the Los Angeles area. Always garaged and always well maintained. Featuring 390 V8, power windows, power drivers seat, power steering and brakes. The engine and transmission have both been rebuilt within that last 10,000 miles, the brakes, dual exhaust and 5 wide white wall tires are newer also. Starts right up, runs great and drives like a new one, the steering and suspension are tight and responsive. The engine and transmission were both professionally rebuilt, and do not smoke, leak or exhibit any bad behavior. Everything works as it should, even the clock!! Absolutely rust free, and no evidence of any previous collision damage. The car has been repainted some time ago and is holding up well. It appears the interior was freshened up a few years ago and looks like new. This is a great car, in amazing condition for its age, not an old made over piece of crap (like so many are), just a nicely maintained original. But at almost 50 years old, of coarse, it is not perfect. The only negatives to note are a small dent in rear bumper and some touched up paint chips and a slight wiper scratch on the passenger side of the windshield.
