Vehicle Detail
This is a mini imported from Dusseldorf Germany in 2004. It was made in the Belgium factory and is titled as a 1967. As with many Minis imported to the USA, there are issues with the VIN matching the title. If you are in California there will be no issue. Please send me a message and I will give you my telephone, so that you can understand all the details. I would like to sell the car of course, but I want you to be happy with it. The car is originally a 1000 cc engine, but a 1368 cc engine was bought from Minimania and installed by Mincomp Racing in Costa Mesa in 2005. At the same time, the front disk brake kit from Minimania was also installed by them. Since then, the car has been maintained by Heritage Auto in Costa Mesa. The car was tuned up by them 2 years ago and a new alternator installed then. There is less than 2000 miles on the car since then. NOTE: the odometer on this car is in kilometers as is the mileage noted on this listing. The car has plenty of power and acceleration. I know of no mechanical issues. Whatever Heritage Auto told me to do on the car, I did, other than the tires. They did not have the proper ones in stock that day. I had to replace the muffler a few years ago. The radio/CD player has a remote control. The battery is newer. New seat belts too. I had the car painted at AI body and paint but you can see some rust spots on the roof and also on the driver door. The front seats are Recaro I believe, although they are dirty. I do not have the original seats. The frames were broken. This is our 3rd car and the last 6 months has not been driven much. It is registered in California and has a clean title. It is insured.. When taking photos I noticed that there was no 2010 sticker on the license plate and I will find it and put it on. I have two sets of keys. Now let me tell you about all the things the car needs. The tires have adequate tread but are getting dry rot. They will run about $80 -100 each. The defroster air hose is not hooked up. the wipers are intermittent. the horn is anemic. the antenna part that screws in on the hood is missing. obviously needs carpeting and the back seat is original I am quite tall and with the Recaro seats I have to crouch, but with the factory seats I had no problem. there is some corrosion on the door handles. I did not note any rust underneath; if there is any I think its minor. I changed the oil last year and although the miles on the oil are minor it would be good to change the oil.
