Vehicle Detail

You are looking at an absolutely beautiful 1987 Mercedes Benz 560SL Roadster that I am regretfully selling at NO RESERVE. I bought the car as a surprise birthday present for my wife, and spent 2 months detailing and cleaning the car up & my intention was completely restore it. But, she is use to her tall MBZ SUV and does not like riding low, so I’ve decided to just sell it. Although disappointing to me, I would rather see it go to someone who will enjoy it. I would keep it for myself, except I have a showroom condition 1991 500 SL as well as 2 other cars to drive and it would not get driven like it should. So, my loss is your gain. Well maintained with 108K original miles. This car is exceptionally strong & rides very solid on the road. The paint has a few nicks, but the body has no dents or dings and shines up very nicely. The interior is in great condition – seats are supportive, with no rips or tears, dash has no cracks, door panels are in beautiful condition. Carpets are in fantastic shape as well as all buttons switches, wood areas and bright work. A/C was just serviced and blows cold. I looked for one of these for a long time before I bought this one, as most people tend to trash these cars and I wanted a decent car to start with. You can drive the car as is, or restore it and it will be a fun drive. Although 23 years old, this one seems to have been taken care of and would make a very good every day driver and a wonderful weekend car that will just get better with age. This engine was the last of this model series and they are virtually bullet-proof and inexpensive to repair. I had owned another one of these years ago and they are great cars and always look classy. Even here in Los Angeles they are still head-turners. Top down driving in this car is very quiet too for a convertible and the car is quite fast! The cruise control is the only item I know of that does not work, but I never use cruise control (it doesn’t work on my 500SL either) so never had it looked into. The radio works but the antenna does not go up & down. The only other thing that I personally would change right away are the wheels as they are a bit tired looking but it’s a great looking car. I don’t know what else to say about this 560 SL, but I am more than happy to tell you anything you need. I have supplied 24 pics of the car, but if there is something you don’t see let me know and I’ll get a pic to you. Car comes with a cover. I am listing it with no reserve so high bidder gets it, although I am listing it locally as well and reserve the right to cancel listing at any time.. The car is being sold “AS IS”. On a scale of 1 to10 (with ten being best) I would rate this one a strong 7. Buyer is responsible for shipping, and I can recommend someone who is quite reasonable. HAPPY BIDDING!
