LOOKS NEW 1994 MERCEDES BENZ SL500 ROADSTER 67,538 MILES NO RESERVE This 1994 SL500 is an absolutely gorgeous roadster you will love to drive. I purchased the car in 2007 when it had 63,595 miles on it. Uses premium gas. Has a removable hard top and a like new, convertible soft top. I have almost all of my service receipts. In 2008, at 66,238 miles, $4,390 service was done to replace the A/C core and Heater core. During the service, technicians damaged the leather on the driver seat and created a burn with a cigarette in the back. I do not smoke. A few months after the service, I pressed the trip reset and the odometer stopped working, although the speedometer still works fine. So the mileage is stopped at 67,538. The car is rarely driven. In 2009, oil and lube service was performed using High Performance 15W50 Mobil 1. I installed four new tires ($490.00) and a new battery. The spare tire appears to be the original, new Perelli tire. New front brakes and rotors were installed and a new motor installed in the driver side power window. Cost of this service was $740.00. Known flaws include: A few slight dings on the painted surface. Wiper only works on high speed. The left rare hydraulic cylinder for raising and lowering the convertible top has a slight fluid leak. If the cylinder is removed, it can be serviced for as little as $25.00. A new cylinder is under $200.00. The antenna stopped working, not sure why, hence no radio reception. I am not a dealer. This is my personal vehicle. The only reason I have decided to sell is because I need a “Tow Vehicle” for my motorhome. I believe the actual mileage is now slightly over 70,000.
