For sale, one 1973 MGB GT, not currently running. This GT was originally gold in color, but repainted white some time ago. Will require some mechanical work to be drivable. Has been off the road for about 14 years. Body is in fair condition. The floors feel solid but do have some patches and rust. For a full restoration some body work will be required or you could repair the mechanics and use it as-is. Engine turns over, but I haven't tried to start it. I have removed the distributor though, to clean and lubricate it. I have purchased a new vacuum advance unit for it which is included. Transmission shifts into all gears. Three out of four tires hold air. One has a slow leak, but it will hold air for a few days. The odometer shows 01137 miles. The actual mileage as appears on the last inspection sticker is 101,137 miles. - Reason for selling - too many projects. With age comes wisdom. I have come to realize that I cannot complete all my stored "projects" to my satisfaction. So, I am trimming their number to allow enough time to enjoy the "keepers". ***Special note: I have a 1962 Buick 215 V8 engine, in pieces, along with the intake and carburetors from a TR8 that I have been saving. This GT would be a good candidate for a 215 V-8 swap and, with the TR8 carbs, it would be close to the original MGB GT V-8 setup. Three photos are showing mocked together pieces of the engine and two of the several boxes of parts. I will include it all with the car for the buy-it-now price. It will all fit inside the car for secure transport. Asking $1900.00 or best offer.
