This is a rare 1969 Fiat 124 Sport Spider (Convertible). There are four particularly interesting things about it to me; 1. No hood bulges n this early model, 2. Corner markers are nice little round lights, 3. 1438cc Engine is small but still classic DOHC Fiat, 4. This early engine has a cast 4 into 2 exhaust manifold. It has been painted (poorly) a long time ago. Even worse, someone was in the middle of a horrendous hack job on the body work. The first thing that I attempted, after cleaning, was to undo some poor wheel arch work and paint just to stop any further rusting. It last was registered and inspected in PA in 1983. The engine pulled through more than 2 rotations without and nastiness. I would not recommend attempting to start this until a new timing belt is installed! There is rust and damage, please refer to the pictures. Please do note that this is, to the best of my knowledge, a solid car, there is no sagging or difficulty in closing doors! With the exception of a stone chip in the windshield, the glass is good. The convertible top will, of course, need to be replaced, but the frame operates essentially as it should, maybe a little stiff. Also included is a new, never unwrapped, roll bar and new, in its box, roll bar cover. The tires are zero miles tires. They are a few years old, but are in good condition. The rims need to be cleaned up in the inside as at least one leaks. I do have a clear title for this car. Payment is due at time of pick-up (no later than 7 Days after end of auction).
