Selling a 1964 Honda CL72 250 Vintage Scrambler Motorcycle. This motorcycle is currently NON-RUNNING. Appears to be complete. This motorcycle is in overall good shape for it's age, I have taken many pictures of the details of this bike so please be sure to review them closely. It appears that the bodywork and frame were repainted at some point in time, looks like whoever did that also cut the stock rubber pad mounts and bondoed the sides to be smooth. The seat also appears to have been recovered, so someone had started to slowly restore it. The engine turns over and has good compression and the transmission shifts into gear. The tires appear to be newer with plenty of life. The air filters and rubber carb joints appear to be new items. This has the rare slotted chain guard, it appears to have had a crack repaired on it. A couple of things that will need attention are the following: The right footpeg is bent, the oil drain plug hole is stripped, you will either need to replace the drain pan or heli coil the old one, fenders have some damage (see pics), and the bottom of the tank has started to rust through on the left side so you will need to replace it. It is also missing the front brake cable. I have slowly come to the realization that I have way too many bikes and not enough time to work on them all so some of them must go. These bikes command top dollar when they are fully restored, I am offering this bike at NO RESERVE so someone with time and motivation will get a great deal on a rare bike. GREAT WINTER PROJECT!! Otherwise I can deliver the motorcycle to the Forward Air Terminal in Omaha, Nebraska.
