The following is a  detailed description of the car, along with over one hundred high resolution photos and two videos. Please email or call us at 415-205-0716, if you have  any questions.   Body, Paint and Trim Having resided in dry Southern California since sold new, the body of this 356C remains in very good condition. All areas of the body are rust free.    The  trunk lid has never been kinked. The floors and longitudinals are original. The battery box appears to have been repaired or repainted. The body is free of door dings and obvious dents. Gaps are good overall. Driver side door could use some minor adjusting and front right corner of trunk lid is a bit high. No VIN numbers were found stamped on trunk lid, but deck lid is stamped 79. All the trim parts are in very good condition with most appearing to be originals. The glass is all original with no chips or scrapes. Front and rear light lenses show no cracks. All chrome parts show good to excellent shine. All weatherstripping is present and in  good condition. The original color was Dolphin Grey (color code 6410). A repaint to White was professionally applied approximately 10 to 15 years ago and remains in good condition with excellent shine. There are several chips and stone chips as identified in our photos.                                               Interior Rarely seen these days, the  black leather  interior is all original. There are some rips on the driver seat bottom and on the panel behind the rear seats. Other than these areas, the interior is in fair original condition. The gauges, switches and knobs on the face of the dash are all in good original condition. The original steering wheel and sunvisors are present and are in very good condition. The paint on the dash was matched to the exterior, during the last repaint and remains in fair condition.    Electricals Headlights (low and high beams), tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, license plate lights,  horn, radio and windshield wipers are functional. This 356 was also sold new with rare optional amber Hella foglights. The starter and generator are functioning properly. Speedometer, tachometer, oil temp and fuel gauges are functional. Oil pressure and generator lights are functional. The odometer is functional and currently reads 46,528 miles. The battery is in  good condition. Engine and Transmission The engine is the original 1600 Normal (engine number 716494)  and runs very well. Prior owner estimated  approximately 1,000  miles were accrued on the engine, since it's last rebuild. Once running the engine idles and accelerates smoothly with very good power. Original Zenith carburetors are still present. Recent engine maintenance includes valve adjustment, timing adjusted, new distributor cap, new spark plugs, carburetors cleaned and tuned and engine oil changed. The original 741 transmission (number 84525, dated December 1964) is installed and shifts smoothly into every gear with no grinding or unusual noises.          Suspension, Wheels, Tires and Brakes The suspension is in  good condition. The ride is comfortable with no unusual noises.  Koni shocks are installed in front and rear and are in good condition. The original matching 10/64 dated KPZ wheels are installed. They are each in nice original condition. 165SR15 Merit YP-821 radial tires are installed and are in good condition with good tread and no cracks. The brakes are functioning well with no fluid leaks. The emergency brake is correctly adjusted and holds tight.         Extra Parts and Documentation The following parts are included: Original toolkit, original spare wheel and original Bilstien jack.
