Vehicle Detail

1967 Pontiac GTO Hardtop Offered for sale is a nice 1967 GTO hardtop you can drive anywhere, or restore it to concours condition. It has Plum Mist paint (originally Signet Gold) with a black vinyl interior. The VIN is 242177Z109716. This GTO was built on the Fremont, CA assembly line with the standard 335 horsepower 400 CID V8, Turbo 400 transmission and a 3.36:1 differential. It has the factory power steering, power brakes, and Hurst His N Hers shifter on the console. A rebuilt non-original WW code GTO 400 engine (this car was built with a YS block) with an Edelbrock Performer Intake and 4 bbl carburetor powers this hardtop. Built for performance, the TH400 automatic transmission is solid and sure. This 1967 GTO is a strong driver quality car with about 77,000 miles showing on the odometer. Actual mileage is unknown. It is not a show car, but has only a few blemishes, and this vehicle would be an excellent candidate for a frame off concours restoration. All stainless and chrome on car is in good to very good condition with the exception of some wear and minor pitting on pot metal pieces. Badges, grille, bumpers, and interior metal trim are very good in general. The car rides on rally rims with dent free beauty rings, and nice hub covers. The Red Line tires have little wear, and the shocks, suspension, bushings, bearings, brakes, and fuel system are all in top condition. Weather stripping and window glass are above average. The car steers easily, handles nicely, and has no obnoxious rattles or squeaks. The paint on the car is OK, not great. Up close there are some chips and the passenger side has some scratches that can be seen. Overall, the body sheet metal is in great condition, exhibiting some rear quarter repair, but no rust anywhere. Floor and trunk pans are solid. The undercarriage is clean but certainly not up to show car standards. The exhaust system is tight and sounds wonderful! Inside, the original interior is clean and only the driver seat has any significant signs of wear. The woodgrained console and dash are in better than average condition. The dash cap is not cracked. A good quality AM/FM/cassette unit is installed where the original AM radio was, but the GTO comes with the original radio, and a set of rally gauges in a box. Turn signals, interior lights, instruments, headlights, taillights, brake lights and parking brakes all function properly. This is a solid, California built #3 car. Here is a Pontiac GTO is priced very fairly at below the average market price published in the top value guides. Somebody is going to be very pleased with this little GOAT. Why not you?
